with that kind of money on the line, i expect tough end to end defense. probably a low scoring game.

First all-star game with a flagrant foul or technical? It would be funny if players take it so seriously that they start complaining at the refs.

Pro Bowl pays $64k to winners and $32k to losers, right?
Wade got one on Kobe, maybe the first. Equally funny would be to see Lebron or Westbrook argue with a top coach about rotations, saying they are trying to win, so don't play the end of the bench guys.

They still won’t play hard. This is all superstars and while, sure it’s still a lot of money, 100k isn’t an incredible amount to them.

It will still be super lackadaisical because these are the best in the game and they aren’t going to risk serious injury over an exhibition match.

i call bs.... it should have been millions in rewards and captains or coaches to divide the money amongst players as they see fit taking into consideration the quality of play of individual players

theyve always gotten money. they just "upped" it this year. I doubt it makes much of a difference though. probably gamble a good amount of it amongst themselves anyways for the weekend

With the jerseys, the draft, the in-game, etc..., only thing left is to add clowns to complete that circus.

Yeah, cause 100k is a lot to these players...And they couldn't have used that money to donate?

Good idea, they should make it an unofficial rule amongst the players to donate this every year.

I’m sorry but this is absurd!! We are talking money for a game where nobody even puts in any energy, which to them doesn’t mean much but could mean a world of difference to millions of people around the world...

They should do what mlb used to do. West v East and winner has homecourt in the finals.

I think the “but thats not fair, we need to reward the team with more wins” argument is flawed anyway because the east + west teams play different scheduled anyway.

This would ensure that harden, steph, Kd, lebron, kyrie, derozan all play super hard.

Without a rule like this, the super stacked team GSW will get homecourt in every round every year. Boring

This is a terrible idea. You don't want these guys going full force for an exhibition game. First guy that gets an injury should sue the league through the players union.
