This Friday's Kings-Mavs game will be broadcast via Real Networks' network. This will be the first professional sports league to show a game over the Web.

This is a cool application of broadband technology and who else to be involved other than Mark Cuban? I'm not sure if he took the initiative or if his club was randomly chosen, but it's nice to see progressive thought from Purbis Stern. Once we get faster, more stable connections via the Internet, this should be more commonplace.

Despite my intense hatred for Stern, I've still got to say that the NBA has it all over any other major sports league when it comes to modernization, marketing, and vision.
