Orlando SL: July 2 - 8 Utah SL: July 4 - 7 Las Vegas SL: July 8 - 18 Probably no one is paying attention to these games since the Rockets only play in Las Vegas, but Ben Simmons looks awesome so far. Only the first game and not exactly great competition, but he's already displaying great passing ability and court vision. Just got semi-injured though; trainer is working on his right calf/ankle. My biggest concern with him in college was his mentality, so hopefully he can develop that aggressive/killer mentality.
Thanks for starting this thread, I always enjoy SL <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">.<a href="https://twitter.com/BenSimmons25">@BenSimmons25</a> threadin' needles to TLC in SLC. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/SummerSixers?src=hash">#SummerSixers</a> <a href="https://t.co/EN7Ami33Dr">https://t.co/EN7Ami33Dr</a></p>— Philadelphia 76ers (@Sixers) <a href="https://twitter.com/Sixers/status/750112995318128640">July 4, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="und" dir="ltr">wut. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/SummerSixers?src=hash">#SummerSixers</a> <a href="https://t.co/Biy8qXLdav">pic.twitter.com/Biy8qXLdav</a></p>— Philadelphia 76ers (@Sixers) <a href="https://twitter.com/Sixers/status/750121230909382658">July 5, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Glad someone started this. Simmons is the real deal. Very few players see the floor like he does. Even if he doesn't become a good shooter, Simmons can be a very special player. This is based on watching 3 quarters of his first summer league game.
Yep, court vision is one of the few skills that can't be taught, just comes natural. I'm holding out hope for him as a shooter since he's a lefty. Seems like most lefties have at least decent jumpshots.
So damn beautiful <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Simmons dime again <a href="https://t.co/VvwAAnp6ud">https://t.co/VvwAAnp6ud</a></p>— Michael Gallagher (@MikeSGallagher) <a href="https://twitter.com/MikeSGallagher/status/750126916359884800">July 5, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Any Yabusele highlights?
Ha, that's why I said most Simmons out with cramping in his calves in his first game. The LeBron comparisons are spot on! Ends his day with 10 pts, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and only one turnover. Didn't shoot too well (2/9 FG), but went 6/6 from the FT line.

It was hard to get a read on Jaylen Brown. Seems like he could be anything from a bust to an All-Star. Very physically gifted, decent handles, looked to have a decent 3-point stroke. Off the dribble, needs to do more than finish at the rim. Didn't notice his defense at all.

Jaylen's Brown's handles don't look good at all to me. He will have trouble driving in the real game.

Well, Ainge's guys at least seem to be showing something in the summer league, for all the slack Ainge is getting for this past draft. I really like this guy Guerscho Yabusele moves and is in the right place at the right time. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ln2n-ZoFrPE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
