Good job Kevin. The Rockets are really a nice, caring team, not a thug team like the nuggets or hornets.

It's what makes the Rockets easy to root for.

But who is to say members of the Nuggest and Hornets wouldn't do the same thing?

I mean, Emeka Okafor seems like a good enough guy, no?

I didn't imply otherwise, I just said that the caring, good citizen image of the Rockets makes them easy to root for.

And there's no evidence he even paid for his own funeral.

But seriously, while some players may be flamboyant or downright annoying on the court, especially to opposing players and fans, it doesn't mean they don't do good things like Kevin Martin.

Went to high school with him. You wouldn't believe how smart that guy is. Lost contact with him during college though. I did manage to talk to him before he went to the Olympics but after that, haven't had a single talk. The guy is genuinely a nice guy. Has very good work ethics and has very polite manners. Always try to find time to goto the games when Charlotte/NO comes into town.

Just another example showing why our players and organization are first class.

One more reason to be proud of our squad.

lol i'm actually good friends with Emeka Okafor and talk to him all the time. He's alive and well. He's on a trip right now in Singapore. He's not dead... And also, he's a great guy. Before Singapore, he attended a basketball camp to help kids in Korea learn how to play. One of my high school friends went with him on the trip and posted pics all over Facebook with them. He's always donating money to charities, went to Africa and donated money over there. He's a cool guy and Chris Paul doesn't seem like a thug... more like a full grown Carlton Banks (Fresh Prince)

Much respect for Kevin. He did the right thing. Unfortunately, as good and as nice as our team is, we should not use this to bad mouth other teams and make them look like thugs even if some of them are. This mode of basking in the sunlight is just wrong. Condolences for the King-Thomas family :(

To me, Steve Nash is da man. A few years ago, he helped (i.e. $) built a medical facility in Paraguay. Locally, dude is always involved in some sort of community service.
