With slow basketball news that always occurs after a big trade or a big signing, it's going to be a while until the Rockets do anything news worthy. To help fight this basketball drought, I decided to look for some good basketball websites that aren't just repeating everything you can read from ESPN or NBA.com. http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/nba/ Okay, I know it's AOL, but it looks like a blog that is written and controled by some of the guys you would find on this forum. Real fans of basketball with a sense of humor as well. Plus, the write several stories a day (yesterday they wrote 8). Anyone else know of any good basketball sites to help pass the time? Disclaimer: I do realize that Clutchfans.net is the best basketball site in the world.
That site is great. Loved this pic of Daris Miles' car: NBA sites I visit most are stat sites like 82games.com or basketballreference.com. I also really like this place to see what's going on on other teams' forums.
LOL @ his car. Did you check out the behind the scenes shopping with Kelvin Cato!!! "I got uhhh 225 pair of brand new shoes never been put on my feet"
Kato ought to be thanking Rudy.T and CD for that ridiculous contract based on that one pre-season game.
I really liked that "Mapping the NBA" article that came out from http://ballhype.com/nba/ Looks like they regurgitate common stories AND write on/link to some not-so-mainstream NBA stories, (like Teri Hatcher hooking up with Baron Davis). Yeah - it's kind of gossipy. But it's the off-season.
hrmf... upon further review.... that article I linked to was only quoting Star magazine... So, the basketball web site linked to a another site's blog that quoted a trashy tabloid. Probably not the most reliable journalism in the world.
http://www.basketbawful.com Website name says it all: "The very best of the worst of professional basketball. And there's a lot of it." Surely not repeating the same stuff, in the vein of the aol site. Also the other blog site for nba talk and rumors http://freedarko.blogspot.com/
IIRC he had about 20-20 while making all his shots(9-9??). But I could be of a bit. i think the clutch title of the recap was: Cato-ed. that game was what we hoped of Cato. unfortunatly he never played that good anymore.
