    MVP - Kevin Garnett
ROY - Lebron James (will have to fall on his face not to win)
    DPY - Kevin Garnett

    Finals: Dallas vs Philadelphia

    Champions: Dallas

Garnett seems to get better each year.

The NBA Champion will be the Rockets or the Nets?? You're as good at NBA predictions as you are at being a lawyer! :D

MVP - Duncan, mainly because Shaq won't have to do as much with Payton and Malone on the team

Defensive Player of the Year - Gary Payton - without having to score as much, he'll give even more effort on defense

ROY - LeBron - He might jack up 25 shots per night, but he'll get his points, and he has Magic like court vision

Most improved player - Kelvin Cato ...This is a tough award to predict, but he's shown the most improvement under Van Gundy so far, and he might be an even bigger force if he plays alongside Yao

Coach of the year - Paul Silas

Sixth Man (one you forgot) - Brad Miller...another tough award to predict, but with Vlade getting older, Miller will get the majority of minutes, though he'll still be coming off the bench

    Midwest Winner - San Antonio
    Pacific Winner - Lakers
    Central Winner - Detroit
    Atlantic Winner - New Jersey

Most likely to be behind bars at season's end...uhhh...I'll get back to you on that one

Coach most likely to be fired at season's end - Terry Porter

NBA Finals - Lakers over Pistons

Defensive Player of the Year - Artest

Rookie of the Year - Darko

    Most Improved Player - Vin

Coach of the Year - Donnie

    Midwest Division Winner - Dallas

Most likely to be behind bars by seasons's end - Kobe

Coach Most likely to be fired by seasons' end - Porter

    Eastern Conference Champion - 76ers

    Western Conference Champion - Spurs

    NBA Champion- Spurs

    MVP: Garnett

Defensive player of the year: Ben Wallace

Most improved player: Nene (IMO Denver will be alot better this year. And hopefully Andre Miller will get back to being the player he was in Cleveland. I think he will benefit alot from having better players around him, and being on a better team.)

Rookie of the year: LeBron James (tough call... from what I have seen from Carmello it will be a very close race... But I'm going with Bron)

Coach of the year: Phil Jackson:( (hate to say it, but IMO the Lakers will be almost unstoppable. I fu*king hate the fakers, so I truly hope that the Spurs, kings, wolves, mavs or of course the Rox;) knock them off. But realistically I don't think none of them can really do it)

    Midwest division: San Antonio Spurs

    Pacific division: LA Lakers

    Central Division: Detroit Pistons

    Atlantic Division: NJ Nets

Most likely to be behind bars: One of the JailBlazers.... Let's say Patterson... For assault on Woods and Randolph or something....

Coach most likely to be fired by season's end: Tim Floyd

    Eastern conference champions: NJ Nets

    Western conference champions: Lakers:(

    NBA champions: Lakers:(

If the Rockets manage to fight their way past all the kickass teams in the Western conference playoffs and proceed to lose to some also-ran out of the East, I would slit....someone else's wrists. Maybe just punch a wall. Rest assured, I would be upset.

Phil Jackson has only won one coach of the year award, and it took 72 victories to get it. Coach of the year is usually given to the coach that gets the most out of the least talent. Right now, that's either Silas, Musselman, Cartwright, Stotts, or Sloan

    My picks are:

MVP - Shaq if healthy and motivated otherwise Tim to repeat.

Defensive Player of the Year - Mutombo if healthy, motivated, gets minutes otherwise Ben to repeat.

Rookie of the Year - Le Bron even if he continues shooting bricks, the hype will carry him over the line over Carmelo.

Most Improved Player - Yao Ming if the pre-season is the glimpse then I can't wait for the full display in the season. :)

Coach of the Year - Jeff Van Gundy in a close ballot if he gets the Rox to the play-offs. :)

Midwest Division Winner - Spurs too consistent to trip up although a late Dallas surge (10-12 wins in a row type) may catch them on the line.

Pacific Division Winner - LAL because home-court will be important this year plus the Kings losses too much without C-Webb in the line-up on opening day.

    Central Division Winner - Pistons

    Atlantic Division Winner - Nets

    Eastern Conference Champion - Nets

Western Conference Champion - Spurs. Until someone can neutralize TD and his role players at the same time at 4 play-off games in a series, then Spurs like the inevitable tide will roll through the Finals. They don't have the mystique or aura of the Bulls or the Piston championship teams yet but they are effective.

NBA Champion - Spurs. Anybody coming out of the East will be cannon fodder. Ever since the dominant teams of the Bulls and Pistons have gone, the West have reigned supreme.
