Ive been thinking, did ever any players did horrible in the camp but turned out good in the nba? what about the ones that excels during the camp but didnt turned out to be as good as they would be? i know kevin durant couldnt bench more than 185 atleast but that doesnt affect him too much. but i cant seem to remember any good noticeable players at the camp that turned out bad in the nba.

Joey Graham measured out as the best athlete in the 05-06 draft, IIRC...

I know for a fact Kyle Korver and Pail Milsap played terrible at the pre draft camp which really hurt their stock.

OT: I know in the NFL they are players who stock is very low or do very horrible in the combine, but they turn into All-Pro players.

I'm one of those people who if I were a GM I wouldn't put alot of stock into pre-draft workouts or combines. I would look at the video of the player playing against the competiton on the floor or the field. If he looks like a good player on that, why shouldn't he be in the next level, if he works hard and puts his ass on the line.

In fact, I hope we don't draft anyone because they can jump really high or some nice little bench press number.

Marcus Haislip benched 400 lbs, look where is he now.Similarly, Gerald Green is also out of the league with his world-class athleticism. Speed, length, strength, height, coordination is important but without good fundamentals and hard work/team play it all becomes irrelevant.

Luther Head did great in one of the pre-draft camps and showed he could play the PG position.

You know how that turned out.

    tough to say.

usually the players who participate in the 5 on 5 scrimmages aren't projected as first round picks. those players sit out of the pre-draft competitions (as much as possible) in order to not hurt their stock.

what's left is a bunch of second round talent, and un-draftable talent. if you can't stand out amongst those players, you wont do well in the pros.

David Noel was rated #1 at his draft camp. Now he's buried on the bench in, I think, Milwaukee.

EDIT: even worse...he's been assigned to D-League and didn't play a single second for the Bucks this season.
