And the competitors are... 1. Kobe Bryant 1. Vince Carter My vote Vince This would be such a spectacular matchup in real life. However, I have to give Vince a slight edge. Both are lightning quick, and they have an array of moves from both the outside and inside. Some people will try to use the explanation that Kobe plays better defense, but imho that isn't close to the case. Vince is as good a defender or better isolated in one on one situations. Kobe, however, is allowed to look better in real life because he has the freedom to guard players closely, go for steals, etc. It doesn't matter if the guy gets by Kobe, because he has the human eraser behind him in Shaq to wipe away any of his mistakes. If you put Vince with Shaq, you'd be surprised how quickly he became an "all world" defender in the eyes of the media. However, as a shooter, I think that's what it will come down to in this matchup, and you have to give Vince an edge there. They can both get to the basket, they both have great moves, and they both play solid defense. However, it would be a close game, and imho it would come down to who could make those tough jumpers from 18 feet with a hand in their face. Vince I too, think Vince is a better defender. I think he would be able to get in the face of Kobe more often than Kobe would do to him when shooting. On offense, Kobe may have the jumpshot advantage, but Vince is a better finisher when driving the lane, so he will find a way to score. The key for Vince is to hit his jumpers. Kobe would probably have to rely on his jumpshot the whole game, b/c I don't think he will get by VC...if he does, Vince isn't a bad shotblocker. It's a close game, but Vince pulls it out. ------------------ Now saw off...there's nothing to see here.

I have to go with Vince. I think Kobe is a better player, but that is because he is a better passer. But as far as pure scoring goes, i think Vince barely wins out. Half man Half amazing, just a phenomenal offensive talent. Toast-Iverson has been touted as the best one on one player all season, plus Iverson beats 2, 3, even 4 defenders sometimes and scores.
