What happened to the NBA on NBC on Saturdays? Are NBA games removed from NBC on Saturdays? I used to enjoy spending my Saturday afternoons watching the NBA on NBC. ------------------ [This message has been edited by DJ (edited March 24, 2001).]
I think the XFL may have had something to do with it (damn them), even though its usually on in the evening's. Don't worry though, as soon as that league officially folds, you'll be seeing Peter, Ahmad, Marv and the rest of the crew on Saturdays. Has NBC changed its schedule at all according to how the teams are playing? I remember them removing some rockets games from the schedule last year, but this year we are forced to watch the crappy Indiana versus Orlando games. Orlando has gotta be the most undeserving team of so many nationally aired games. I'm sick of it. The rockets are in an exciting race for the playoffs, but they'd rather show Toronto versus New York, and other games with no serious playoff implications. Anyone else feel the same way about this? I know most of ya'll get to actually watch every Rocket game, so this doesn't affect you much, but i am just so sick of them showing us the teams that were supposed to be good but arent (Indiana). ------------------ Hakeem, Hasaw, Haconquered.
well i think orlando got so much airtime because they were hoping to hype up the hill/mcgrady combo... but you know, that didnt work out all that well ------------------ president of the sleepy floyd to hall of fame club. are there any religious scriptures in tune with modern science? http://www.it-is-truth.org
I'm in the same boat Kenny, I go to college in San Antonio so I don't get to see many Mavs games. Over on the Mavs board, we have lamented several times about how we are forced to watch the damn Lakers, Knicks, and Vince Carter's Raptors play meaningless games while our Mavs are playing important games with serious playoff implications. It's unfortuante that the networks have to choose the games that they televise before the season starts, because exciting teams like the Mavs and Rockets that come out of no where don't get to be seen by the rest of the nation. ------------------
NBC chose Tiger Woods over the NBA this weekend. You'll get your fill of games once the playoffs start. Old School ------------------ I voted YES!
Actually Old School, there were two games on Sunday. ------------------ www.swirve.com...The reason Al Gore invented the internet.
