Also from ESPN Insider... NBA Draft: To quell rumors that the draft lottery is fixed, the NBA will allow a few reporters to to witness for the first time the actual selection process of the top 3 picks, which are determined by 14 Ping-Pong balls with 1,000 different combinations. "The feedback we've gotten in previous years is that the media is curious to how the process worked," league spokesman Tim Frank told the N.Y. Daily News. "It's just a way for the media to tell a story about the process" . . .Cincinnati head basketball coach Bob Huggins believes that Steve Logan is a first-round pick. "Steve definitely should be a first-round pick, from [overall No.] 20 on down," Huggins told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "But Steve has to prove to teams he's not too short and that his body can handle the NBA pounding." Huggins admitted that Logan is really only 5-foot-10 and "180-something."
Okay, so the league only allows reporters from the NY Times, NY Daily News, NY Post, and NY Press to watch. Suuuuuure, they're unbiased...
Should be showed live on Tv watching the balls then I will be convince it is not rigged If New York gets #1 Pick Its rigged.
If New York gets the #1 pick, it will be blatantly rigged. If New York gets the #2 pick, I will still be convinced it's rigged. If New York gets the #3 pick...well, it'd still be rigged. Ya can't win, suckas!!
They used to show the drawing on TV live. Until they do that, I'm not believing for a second that it isn't rigged.
They did use to do it back when everyone in the lottery had an equal chance of getting the top pick. Look at this thread to see why they don't show it anymore. http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33358
