They already charge to play online after the first 60 days....don't know about roster updates, but I wouldn't doubt it. Although couldn't one person just get the updates and post them elsewhere?
ea is gonna charge for online play....they do now....for madden 03.....nba live...i have to admit...is not a true sim as nba 2k series....hopefully they work everything out...
did anybody notice the screenshots of the game have the Rockets wearing our old PJ uniforms. I was hoping to have our new logo and unis in the new NBA 2K4 and NBA kive 2004.
don't worry about those screen shots, those screens come from a very early stage completion of the game. It hasn't even gone alpha yet. They'll have the uniforms in there!

what are you guys talking about?? I play PS2 NBA Live online all the time, and I don't get charged. Is this just a PC thing?
well, its only 1 on 1, I doubt the game's graphics would be that good if it had to emulate 10 players with the stadium crowd. There is no way that Midway (company that makes that 1 on 1 game) can even compare to Sega or EA.
I hope nb 2k4 is feautering with a edit appearence mode.......I don´t like when posey have white socks and everybody else on the teams have black! same with the shoes! or if u trade griffin to for example minnesota and still his head band is red........don´t like it
EA is going to start charging this year. Switch to 2k4, It's a REAL basketball simulation (not a dunkfest) and is free, with better graphics.
what are you talking about. These pictures are from the actual game. Thats why they're called "screenshots". Most of these "promo-pics" as you call it are "screenshots" of the replays.
2K4 doesn't look much different from 2K3. I had both Live and the 2K series, I must say that Live has better gameplay while 2K was more of a simulation. Just my thoughts I'd pick Live over 2K3 though.
I don't think Live and 2K3 were all that far apart. In fact, Live took leaps over its previous version. I think it even outsold 2K3. Sega's is more simulation, but it has plenty of its own bugs to work out as well. To be honest, neither of the two basketball 'simulations' are as fun as they should be.
Hmm........SEGA 2k series OWN ALL. It used to be all Live. But I have converted to Sega! 2k3 was way different from 2k2. ESPN.....and not ESPN. I like the intro to 2k2 better. And it's Allen Iverson's game. He's only rated 90? NBA 2k3 is the best basketball game out there. It's really really good. Great gameplay...great franchise mode.....great features...great everything! 2k4!!!
