These take a while to post, so for right now I'll copy about 10 teams per day, or maybe ten teams twice tomorrow to finish. Here's the deal... each team has a point cap of 1,000,000 on player salaries. If you are over the cap, point values in the trade have to be within 20% for it to work. I will list your team name, and the amount over or under the 1 mil cap you are. Waived players count against the cap... Atlanta Over 247, 603 Rahim-- 264,706/3 (years left) Bowdler-- Minimum/2 C. mduke, Yeah, the way to get under the cap is to trade your high priced players to a team under the cap, or let their contracts expire and let them walk. Actually, the only team under the cap is the Clips, but they are way under at 250k.
mduke, Then it's just like in real life. You can resign your own free agents, and I think you get some exception money, but you really just can't go on a spending spree. Castor, Haven't done the swaps yet, just have the regular rosters plus NBA trades... you should be able to see what they are, though. Spurs: C Robinson/M. Rose/Parks PF Duncan/ Ferry SF Jackson/Bowen SG Smith/Daniels PG Parker/Porter/Daniels Cat, you will create Tony Parker, right?
Ok i am posting this so i do not have to keep seeing people try to explain it in chat. This is how the Cap rule works for trades made by teams over the cap. It also works so that you can see what salary you can take on when trading a player. To figure out what you can take on in a trade or if a trade will work you do the following: Say for example you want to trade a player that makes 100k. you take his salary and multiply it by 1.2(or 120%) 100k * 1.2 (or 120%) 120k Then you take that and add 10k 120K + 10k 130k That gives you the greatest ammount of salary you can take on. The limit is always figured from the team that is offering the lowest ammount. So in our example if the other team involved in the trade was offering players worth less than 100k then it would have to be figured from that salary.
You're still going to have them, though... there are too many very minor role players like that to get everyone's roster exactly precise. We're going to go with the rosters like above, except if you need someone created, like haven with Tony Parker.
wow, sf3, the page looks great! too bad im not in the central division As I said earlier, i will TRY to make a midwest page, but am making no promises. Also, guys in the midwest, do you care if i put the stats in? or maybe just 3 per person? cause that would be my only reason against doing a page.
I know this concept might sound crazy to some of you guys, but couldn't you always just "bookmark" this page? That's what I did...
