Guys help me decide which one I should buy, also I would like to game with the cf players on 360 on the game that will be selected most.
I would say 2K... I used to be a Live fanatic and EA faithful.. .but Live has really disappointed and I've fallen in love with the 2K series. Their gameplay and control is really crappy. The superstar moves that Live tried to implement was reaaaaaaalllly bad
Based on the 08 series, I'll give NBA Live an edge on graphics and overall gameplay. I like the 2k series but it seems like I can never get a jumpshot to go in. The arena atmosphere/crowd noise realism goes to 2k.
Right now, between 2K and Live there is no contest--it's 2k all the way. Live did have nice player models this year though, too bad the rest of it sucked so bad. I'm still hoping (but not holding my breath) that Live will get it right, and there will be 2 great b-ball games, but I don't see it happening.
NBA lives gameplay sucks and is not realistic. You can basically hold down the shoot button forever and there's no difference. In 2k, you have to hold it down right or the shot will be to short or too long. Lives graphics are only good during timeouts. 2k has better graphics all around. The only thing I know LIVE has is that ESPN on demand stuff which is pretty neat.
Same here, I use to be a die-hard Live fan but they dropped the ball. 2K by a mile......signature shots are sick in the 2K series.....they're spot on.
I also prefer the 2k series. I haven't bought Live since the late 90s. There's better graphics and gameplay. The Live games have always felt blocky to me.
NBA 2K on Dreamcast> NBA Live 08 on Xbox 360. So 2K9 all the way, plus KG is on the cover, can't get much better than that.
NBA LIVE's PS3 version is different from the PS2 one, is 2k doing the same thing or the game is same on both Play Stations.
Yeah...the last few times i played Live i felt like i was playing NBA Jam. There is minimal difference in abilities of different players. On 2k there are more differences in players' gameplay.
I'm feeling NBA Live 09 on PS3, I think EA will finally get it right. Plus the player DNA and previous night's game integration stuff they got going is sick.
I am a 2K freak. But EA hired the head guy from 2Ks team. And they stepped up their game. So its genuinely something you will have to just wait and see.
Like I said earlier, NBA 2K on Dreamcast>NBA Live 09 on Xbox 360. I would rather take the old rosters with great gameplay than new rosters with ****ty gameplay.
