I bought this game a couple days ago for Playstation 2 thinking with the FIBA tournament teams like Greece, Spain, Italy, Germany, and China in it that it would be fun but...

    WAS I WRONG!

Strengths: FIBA teams make the game worth buying. (Scola is rated 56) on the Argentinan national team. No Scola on the Rockets for that matter.

    Weaknesses: Everything else
-Graphics are horrible, the quality of Playstation 1.
-Play by Play... SERIOUSLY! Marv Albert and get this "Steve Kerr" is doing the play by play, isn't he the Suns GM? Same dumbass commentary as last year.
-The Rockets arena is called "Rockets Arena" not "Toyota Center", what kind of crap is that?
-When you win the FIBA Tournament, you can some stupid page saying who was the MVP, and the championship trophy they show isn't a "medal", it is the "Larry O'Brien" Trophy from the NBA.

The game varies in price from $39.99 at Best Buy to $49.99 at some other stores. Don't be stupid guys and buy this piece of crap, save your money. Hell, you could get in 4 Rockets games for this piece of crap game.

Needless to say, I will be taking this game to GameStop or any other video game stores to try and get some of my money back that I burned for buying this junk and will be BOYCOTTING ALL EA SPORTS GAMES IN THE FUTURE.

Sorry for being so negative guys, I just needed a place to vent.

I thought it'd be pretty good this year. Didn't they revamp the whole game from the ground up? Anything would've been better than 07.

Another thing to bang your head on, NO "CHUCK HAYES" in this game. And the starting PF for the Rockets when you first buy the game is "STEVE NOVAK". BTW, Novak is rated "60" in that game and he can't shoot three pointers on "Superstar" level and neither can any of the Rockets players for that matter.

The game isn't any good, period. They promise all kinds of crap, and at the end of this I feel like...

    I rented it on Wii

Game? Good, but has its flaws, as stated above, no Scola for us, yet Butler is our starting PF, no Francis, and Bob Sura is still on the team, enough said...

Controls? Not bad, a little frustrated at first shooting (pull the remote up, for the player to jump, then flick it forward at the right time to shoot). To block, you have to lift the remote up, i think there isn't a turbo button, the cross over, is interesting (flicking the nun chuck either side), in comparison to Madden 08, I loved Madden's control scheme better

Graphics? Good, but its the Wii, graphics don't really excel in this category.

I would probably buy it only if they update the damn roster.

I played it on 360 and it had chuck hayes in it as the starting PF. It was ok on 360 but i strongly prefer 2k8. Now that is a badass game. In 2k8 they have scola as the starting PF and i think we're rated higher than the spurs. lol but the gameplay is awesome on 2k8

Live sucks, and even though this year is an improvement, it still sucks. This can't be considered a basketball game. EA puts so much into marketing, but the true gamers know that Live is sh!tacular.

Then u got it on PS2, double whammy.

2k is always the way to go.

I was really lookin' forward to NBA Live 07 last year but when I played it I got shocked. So now I'm not excited about Live 08 cause I know it can also suck. NBA Live on PC ain't realistic. It's just like a stupid game. If course I know it should be better than 07 but...
