Hey fellas, I have a few questions I'd like to ask about NBA LP. Hopefully some of you would help me out here. 1- If I buy a person's account info who lives in the U.S, would I be able to use it in Cananda? 2- Would NBA.com eventually end up selling it to Canada? 3- Once someone has NBALP, is it possible for more than one person to access it at the same time, from different computers? *4- If anyone has an account they're willing to "sell", please let me know.
Only if you spoof your IP addy. I think they do a world one...at some point...IIRC the Europeans on this board were able to buy it last year...but if you spoof your IP...you can get around that anyway. Yes, I think so....but not 100% sure. Mine is spoken for... DD
Speaking of... ..the Broadband 'Free Trial' .. Went to sign up today, because I wanted to re-watch little bits of the game today while at work.. and.. WTF?? 80% of the games are 'blacked out' ??? 'Unavailable due to blackout restrictions'??? Good job, NBA, trying to sell a product to people and then letting them see it before you get their money. Who would ever pay for such a service when you can't even watch the games?
lol 80%, nice exaggeration. The only games that are blacked out are the nationally televised games, like yesterdays game against the mavs, and the games in your area that you should already get (unless you dont have a tv)
I should have said '80% of the games anyone would want to watch.' But yeah, they'll let us watch the Bobcats all year long, probably pay us to watch those.
Every single early game tonight is available, except for the ESPN game (Bulls/Celts). Still complaining?
Alright, thank you very much fellas. So i'm guessing i'll have to resolve to someone related to me buy the NBA LP broadband online in the states, and i'll pay them off. Because I'm trying to screen my I.P (with a bunch of different trial versions of softwares to which i cannot find the regis. codes..) but the NBA just doesn't want me to have LP LOL. I mean, i live in Canada, so it should be fine. Oh well, I'll watch the CCTV chinese feed for games then. Thanks for the help again guys.
forget all that nonsense cook1ez: http://leaguepasssupport.nba.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=7801&task=knowledge&questionID=265 this is for international poeple, and I don't think it's that expensive, AND, it's only the online stuff (broadband) which is amazing.. oh and by the way, for us U.S people, we can now order broadband without having to get the TV thign too, it's only 80 bucks, which isn't bad at all, I'm seriously considering getting one for my time in College STation
a question to people with past league pass broadband experience: is the quality OK? does it go on and off a lot? is it good enough for full screen? I live in an A&M dorm, so our internet is basically a mediocre LAN (about 200 kb/s) .. do you guys think it would be enough to view the games with minimal freezes/lags? I'm about to invest 80 bucks in this thing so I'm trying to make sure that it would be worth it
oh snap, dang, 3 posts in a row, but I just solved your problem: looks like you don't even need an "international" one to view games in Canada, check the bottom of this page: http://www.nba.com/leaguepass/online.html *If you are not in the U.S. or Canada and are looking for International NBA LEAGUE PASS BROADBAND, click here.* so this implies that you can watch games just like you're in the U.S! great news for you..
Already tried that one man, doesn't solve the issue, it even asks me if i want to suggest my country for LP, but it already is, so i suggested it anyway, by sending an email and explaining the situation...no repsonse. And yea, it CLEARLY says U.S AND CAN. I mean, what's the purpose for it not to work? I really want to fix this thing, it's bugging me.
Hopefully someone can answer my question: Can two people sign on at the same time from two different IPs? A friend and I wanted to buy NBA LP online only. He is a Laker fan. But since we are both in San Francisco, he can't watch the Lakers and I can't watch the Rockets. The problem is that the Lakers and Rockets games are usually at the same time or within 30 minutes of each other.
Try the free trial until November 11th and see what you think. My son and I are going to try this on Monday night. If it works, we are going to get it.
I had MLB Extra Innings online a couple of years ago. It does its job but I don't think I would buy an online package again. Watching it on TV is worth the extra cost...if you already have digital cable.
thanks for clearing this up. I didnt know the rhyme or reason behind the blackouts and I was getting worried that alot of Rockets games would not be accessible. I am trying out the Leaguepass Broadband preview for the first time and I love it so far. you can watch three games simultaneously. It's even better than league pass from the cable provider... in my opinion the $85 discounted cost is way worth it, to be able to watch any game remotely from your computer. now I know the LP cable subscription includes Broadband, but the quality of watching the games online is so good that I am willing to defer my tv to my roommates while watching any game I want in privacy. it is awesome!
I watched LP Broadband last night and I was impressed. Having the live stats next to the screen was awesome...it's a fantasy bball wet dream. $85 is worth it IMO.
i'm willing to sell mine.. no one's spoken for it yet. Though I have to actually sign up for it on the nba.com site tonight (I was auto-renewed for NBA League Pass like I am every year...just haven't activated the online portion yet)
How much? Can anyone clarify if two people can log in at the same time from two different ips (same city though) and watch two different games?
