I just found out that NBA League pass now allows you to watch any game on your PC too, as long as you are a subscribed member.

    I have already signed up so.....WOHOOO !!

What a great deal, now if the NFL would only do the same....

If you already bought the League Pass from your cable company or satalite provider, you qualify, go TO THIS LINK and follow the instructions.

Not really, you can spoof your IP to be somewhere else.....and away you go.

I think its blocked based on residency (if you're registered in Houston, it would blackout games where ever you connect from) :
I live near Springfield, Missouri and would probably only be using the TV part ..... someone could use the internet side then..... I'm guessing they don't block "concurrent" TV and net, does anyone know?

If it is like MLB then it is blocked by IP not billing address. So if you live in Houston and travel to Chicago for business, you would be able to watch the Rockets but not the Bulls.

    LOL! No kidding!

I'm just about to get DirectTV pretty much for the sole purpose of Tivoing all Rockets games here in NY. It would be nice if I could just get the broadband thing separately; just pay $200 or whatever for the leaguepass and then watch the games on my computer and not bother with a cable/satellite subscription service.
Hmmm...maybe I could pull it off. Wonder if DirecTV would let me..

WHOOPS okay just read the details a little closer. Not a standalone product.

If anyone wants to let me share their NBA Broadband account I would love them forever. Additional perks can be negotiated.

just run your connection through a proxy server and you won't have to deal with blackout rules.

Man...this could be a way to see the games for me. They only show a few games a week on TV here and they are usually never Rockets games.

i'd be willing to chip in for someone's league pass if i could use it the broadband part, but i'm sure the NBA/DirecTV will block foreign ip's.

Still worth trying to see if it work via proxy...

Cool- could anyone that has used this give us a quick review? Is it a comprehensive service? Is the video quality good and the stream reliable?

I'm strongly considering cancelling my satellite install and paying someone for use of their leaguepass broadband account instead.
