Did anyone get it last year?
    How much?
    Is it worth it?
Is it FSN Houston or just the game w/o announcers?

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Yes
    $84.95 Early Bird Special
    Definitely!
Uses announcers. I'm in Houston so I was blacked out from Rockets games. From memory, it seems like they use the home team announcers more often than not.

If you love NBA basketball, don't even think about it. Just do it. You won't regret it. The quality is pretty good, you can watch 2-3 games at once (sort of) and can easily cut to close games in crunch time.

All of the Rockets games on League Pass are blacked out in Houston?

I'm in Houston and most nights I only have access to the Internet, not TV (long story). This is probably a stupid question but what is the best way to have access to all the Rockets games online w/o pirating them?

IF you want a live link, get on Clutchfans and find one in the game thread. It's usually posted.

If you want to download it later, Rockets2K will provide them a day or two after the game airs, generally. Watch for his threads.

I'm just afraid if I get it, it will swallow up all my time this season. That's what's holding me back ... not so much the price.

Can you install a TV-tuner card on your PC? That way you could DVR Rockets games to your heart's content. 99.5% of the TV I watch is on my PC.

Just get it and see what happens. Most likely you will figure it out after a month or two. The first few weeks of each season, I watch so much basketball it's insane. After a while, exhaustion (from staying up watching west coast games and getting up to go to work) will set in and you will pick the spots that are most important to you. For me, that often means watching mostly the 1st and 4th quarters (or last 2-6 minutes) of games. I promise there will be times where you will catch some incredible live action that will blow your mind. You can watch the ending of any close game you want, unless you have to choose. Even then, you can use the archive to watch segments of games later.

I watched LeBron's shooting exhibition in Milwaukee several times. Listening to their color-guy flip out and to the Milwaukee crowd ohh and ahh was hilarious. Watching Derek Rose his first 5-10 games in the league was awesome. He made a ton of mistakes but it was obvious to me very early that the guy would be special. Watching Brandon Roy in crunch time game-after-game was priceless. Watching and listening to the crowd at Thunder home games sometimes made me laugh because you'd think it was a game 7.

I could go on a long time. Just get it. You are the type of person that would appreciate it. Let me repeat this for emphasis: You will figure out an efficient way to watch games and catch the best action. It comes with experience.

With me, the Rockets games and the games they show on TnT espn, and abc in mid season is all I need. I know some people buy the package to see how the incoming rookies are gonna do, but usually they do better in their second season more then the first.

The best thing about NBALP for me is that I can get home from work and watch the archived games. (Im from Australia.) So what I do is avoid looking at the scores and then when I get home I watch the game straight through, no adds, no half-time. Its well worth it. The only problem is in Aus we are capped after a certain amount of DL's. Im pretty sure an archived game would be between 600MB-70MB to watch. Can anyone confirm this for me though?

If you can get friends to go in on it with you it's even better. My roommate got it last year and just let me use his password and gave it to a lot of our other friends too. It allowed us to be logged on from multiple computers and houses at once. I'll be buying in this year. Well worth it.

Kinda of topic but I have uverse, so I cant get LP. Uverse (in Dallas) does include FSN Houston, so would I still be able to watch all the Rockets games? I noticed they blackout all the preseason games so far. Will they blackout the games during the regular season as well?

with the quality the NBA put up last season the sizes are roughly 1-1.5 GB per game.
