Ok, Got my league pass broadband, but my signal is choppy, anyone else getting that? And how can you smooth it out? I can't find a place to change the settings. DD
just tested it out and yes its very choppy. Don't know why. Hopefully it will fix itself because it's the only way i'll be able to watch the game tonight. fyi i've watched other games and they've been fine.
At home, my signal usually very good. At a hotel in Tulsa on Wednesday evening, it was awful. I think your connection has a lot to do with it. There are 9 days left before the price increases from $84.99 to $99.99. BTW, the Sixers are just shellacking the Hawks. Thaddeus Young is out of his mind.
Why are some of the games blacked out in broadband but not blocked out on my TV? For instance the Indiana and Boston game is blocked out in broadband but we are watching it fine on TV. They have screwed it up from last year....trying to be fancy when simple worked fine. DD
i just got my broadband preview and it suggested to download octoshape. it seemed to fix the problem. i'm watching three games live and they are all pretty smooth
I downloaded it by my firewall asked me if I wanted to keep blocking it...as it is sharing bandwidth and I said....yes.....maybe I should deinstall it...and install it again? DD
It is P2P, so basically you are sharing with other viewers. NBA is charging a lot of money for some bittorrent service. Now there is no MMS, like last season, only flash, which seems much worse in quality.
I'm wondering this too. It seems like half the games last night were blacked out. If this extends to Rockets games I'm going to have to destroy someone.
the blackout restrictions are definitely confusing. for me last night, the boston /indiana game was available, but not the detroit/ washington game. i heard it has to do with nationally televised games, were there any ESPN or TNT games last night? I know portland/phoenix was on NBA tv, so it was unavailable. check the schedule of games on Broadband, it only shows the ESPN/TNT/NBATV games blacked out (as well as my local games)...
I was watching the Phoenix game on broadband just fine. I could not select the Rockets game, so I shut down the browser. Now it keeps loading, but will not go past 98%. Any ideas?
I've found that a better video card solves this problem. Same connection, same PC memory, same processing speed, better video card = chopless stream. I guess Flash uses more memory on the video card end.
I'm not getting blackouts except for the games on national tv. I'm using chrome and the closest team to me is the mavs. Maybe you guys should try to use renew IP if you used to be not blacked out and suddenly turn blacked out. For the slow video rate check to see ur memory or cpu usage. Usually if its too high ur computer slows down. Normally it shouldn't be too high but if you have spyware or ad-ware it might become too high. I also recommend u try the IE beta as a browser. I've heard good stuff about that. I'm on chrome and I dont really have streaming issues and I dont have that octoshape or wtvr on when im watching.
I was having the same issue as DFW_Rockets_Fan, as league pass would not load past the 98 % mark. And as I've watched the first three Rockets games of the season (didn't see last night's), it definitely seems like the video has become a lot more choppy. What should be a regular rate of CPU Usage & Memory if I'm running just Firefox?
Assuming you are in New York, does DC infringe on their territory? For example, I am in the Twin Cities area and caanot watch Brewers games via the MLB TV package. Another thing to consider is where your ISP is located. For example, I CAN watch the Brewers if I VPN through my office because I get routed through Seattle. And for clarity sake, I am NOT interested in the Brewers unless they are playing the Astros.
I faxed in my Time Warner details and followed it up by mailing my fax in.....just to be sure.... I want to make sure my account stays active when the free preview ends. Also, how can you adjust your login stuff? DD
Tonight, every game I watched was fine except for the Sixers/Heat. For whatever reason the signal from that game was very bad.
quick question, is there any way on NBA League Pass broadband to get around the blackout of Rocket games? I live in Houston but want to be able to watch the rockets on computer. Will changing my address on my account settings work? IE- using my in laws address in San Antonio?
