Australian fans of the NBA have been jerked around for too long- and this is the last straw! The NBA has closed it's Australian Office (located in Melbourne), and therefore NBA Australasia no longer exists. Australia has been put in the 'NBA Asia' section. That totaly sucks ass. Firstly we have no NBA games on FTA TV, secondly it's impossible to find ANY NBA clothing, hats, videos etc...(unless it's a Vince Carter, Iverson, Jordan, or any other 'popular' players.) I've been searching around for a Francis singlet for ages. If this is how the NBA thinks it is making the game more 'international', then they are screwed up in the head. There are heaps of NBA fans in Australia- I don't understand why the NBA would do something like this. NBA on FTA Petition Any other Aussies on this board who wish to see more NBA Games on FTA TV, just sign the petition on the link above.
I live in Texas, and I cant find a Francis jersey. Most stores are only going to carry Carter, Iverson, Shaq, and Kobe jerseys if they carry that much...
Getsmart...all your options are cable and the net, subscribe to ESPN and order any clothes etc you want via the NBA.COM store The coverage here is crap compared to asia however...even if you can get OPTUS. My wife is Thai born and we go back to Thailand very often...come play off time, they have like one or two games on EVERY day...it rocks. They basically get 5 games a week + every game come play off time. Malaysia, Hong Kong also get it all via star sports asia. Cable tv here was stuffed up...we have the worst cable tv in the world. It's a lonnnnnnnnng story how that sad fact emerged, but it did... If you can get optus...at least you can get ESPN.
