For those looking for the Rockets to wear "alternate" uni's...

According to the league's official website nba.com the NBA and its teams will once again celebrate the past with a series of retro games entitled NBA Hardwood Classics Nights in season 2004/05.

As part of NBA Hardwood Classics Nights, 14 teams will honor their history by commemorating franchise milestones, anniversaries, and legendary teams and players with retro uniforms.

Highlights for the upcoming season include the Indiana Pacers wearing Reggie Miller’s Rookie jersey, the New York Knicks sporting their 1979-80 home uniforms, the Detroit Pistons unveiling their “Bolt” era home uniform from 1978-81, Lebron James and the Cavaliers wearing their 1975-76 home uniforms, the Rockets celebrating their arrival in Houston by wearing their 1971-72 road uniforms and the Denver Nuggets wearing their 1975-76 road uniforms in respect to Denver's last season in the ABA.

During the 2004-05 season, there will be 62 total games with at least one team wearing a classic uniform; 42 of the 62 games will feature both teams wearing classic uniforms, 23 of the 62 games will be televised on either ABC, ESPN, TNT or NBATV and five games during NBA “Rivalry Week” will feature at least one team wearing a classic uniform. The first NBA Hardwood Classics game took place on November 25th.
