Why is it so hard? Pelicans are gonna be fighting for the 8th seed all season long while Warriors are gonna be fighting for anything between 1-6 just like the Rockets. I would say go Pelicans.
Because draft pick. The more the Pelicans lose at this point, the more valuable their 1st round pick is. And also because I am not sure how valuable seeding is in the Western Conference. None of the teams currently in seeds 1-7 looks like an easy opponent, and OKC is likely to join the fray as long as their main guys stay healthy. It's gonna be a gauntlet either way.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-conversation="none" lang="en"><p>One game after playing Dallas sans Chandler Parsons, Warriors dodge another bullet RT <a href="https://twitter.com/JohnReid64">@JohnReid64</a>: Anthony Davis will not play tonight</p>— Sam Amick (@sam_amick) <a href="https://twitter.com/sam_amick/status/544240298809761793">December 14, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Pelicans played pretty well without Davis against Cavs. Hoping for a Pelicans Win, draft pick be damned. Pelicans can start losing starting tomorrow.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Goran Dragic (lower back strain) is out for <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/SunsAtThunder?src=hash">#SunsAtThunder</a> tonight.</p>— Paul Coro (@paulcoro) <a href="https://twitter.com/paulcoro/status/544264576473133056">December 14, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
What is with these lower back strains?! Harden, Parsons, now Goran. Rocket's training staff is not looking good hahaha Warriors keep getting gift-wrapped wins against injured teams to help them continue their win streak. Houston without Howard/Jones/Papa, Dallas without Parsons, now Pelicans without Davis. At this rate, they will get OKC with Durant taking a game to rest or something.
just a heads up, Kobe is 5 pts away from passing MJ. Of course sportcenter will shove it down your throat anyway
WB has been an absolute BEAST this season. AD and him have been the 2 best individual performs in the league by a WIDE margin.
I know it's only been 2 games, but without AD, Pelicans have looked more competent as a team. Why do you think that is?
Teams don't take them as seriously? Cavs didn't. When they were down double digits, Lebron and Irving were doing fancy dribbling early in the 4th quarter trying to wow the crowd. And Warriors happy just winning with offense tonight.
