There's always constant chatter about which NBA players are the league's best. LeBron vs. Kobe vs. D-Wade vs. KG vs. TD and so on.

But let's turn the argument upside-down and list (!) in alphabetic order the worst players in the NBA.

It should be noted, however, that all of these guys are far superior to just about every player who participates at some lesser level of competition. Some of the players listed below are young and developing, some have never developed, some have limited specialties, and many of them are 7-footers.

JOEY DORSEY (Rockets) is strong, tough and willing enough, but his lack of sophisticated skills makes him unable to earn much playing time. Perhaps if he was 7-feet tall instead of 6-9, and his shoulder were squared off instead of sloping (to increase his reach), Dorsey might have a viable future in the NBA.

HAMAD HADDADI (Grizzlies) is a clumsy 7-2, but the best thing about him is that he won't be getting any shorter in the near future.

JEROME JAMES (Knicks) is perpetually injured and/or out of shape and at 7-1 occupies one-and-a-half seats at the end of the bench.

MARK MADSEN (T-Wolves) is an experienced hustler, cheerleader and fouler.

PATRICK O'BRYANT (Celtics) is still another 7-footer who does little more than take up lots of space.

CHEIKH SAMB (Clippers) is a leansome 7-1 and 195 pounds. When he walks past a light, passersby can see his heart beating.

    That list is off.

Joey does suck but he hasn't gotten much playing time to prove other wise.

Speaking of which, how did the 'new' Joey Dorsey do today?

Without Rafer on the list it has no credibility.

Dorsey seems right on schedule to me.

If you thought a short PF with no offensive skills and questionable fundamentals was going to step in and play on a playoff bound team that was already heavy with undersized PF then you have a lot to learn.

Having said that, if his work ethic is there he can work himself into a respectable NBA player.

I knew this was a Rosen article as soon as I saw Joey Dorsey on the list. Seriously, you're going to peg a rookie who's played a grand total of 6 minutes two months into his NBA career as one of the worst players in the league? Great insight, blowhard.

Agreed...was thinking exactly the same thing.

(I also agree with those who say Rafer should be on the list :D).

Rosen hates the Rockets. There is no reason to include a 2nd round rookie on that list but he must chose a member of the Houston Rockets because he hates them. And he chose Dorsey at number 1 too. There are tons of 2nd rounder rookies in the NBA who have never played except for garnage time. Why call out the Rockets' rookie?

I guess Morey has a lot to learn, since he said before the season that he felt Joey would be able to help the team this year.

Rafer must be the worst player who plays more than 30 minutes a night.

He could have said that about Landry at the beginning of the 2007-08 season and during Jan 08 you'd be saying thing only to recant on that after season.

    Let the year play out.

Hamed Haddadi has played 2 minutes in the NBA

He had a good Olympics even though Iran sucked, I would hardly put him on the worst NBA list considering he is a rookie and has some time to prove himself.

Damon Jones hands down is the worst.....he still thinks he can play ........thats the sad part

Jerome James is terrible too....you couldnt even play for yhe Knicks last year when they were looking for big men to foul out

Flyin Ryan Bowen was fun to watch as he flew from one end of the bench to the other end ....

    Sebastian Telfair is terrible .....

lastly Adonis Foyle is a high level hack waiting to happen....

Dorsey's not #1, the list is in alphabetical order.

Mark Madsen has to be the worst player in the NBA. I have no idea how that guy has managed to stick around so long.

Its way too harsh to put Rafer in that list. He's a starter for god's sake!!!

If one were to make a "5 worst starters in the NBA" article, then i agree that rafer should be in it. But there are many bench players who are worst than him.
