Not who you think will win it all, but who you want to win it all.

As for me, I'm going for the Pistons. Can't have the Spurs winning more championships than the Rockets. :D

I hate the Spurs, so obviously I'm pulling for the Pistons. But I have to admit, I now also want the Pistons to win because I respect them. They have the kind of "never say die" attitude that reminds me of the Clutch City Rockets. Not to mention the same lack of respect from the media.

For all the hypes about Duncan being one of the most fundamentally sound NBA players, isn't shooting free throw an important aspect of fundamental skills?

    Pistons all the way!

Statistical probabilities say the Spurs are going to win; however, my intuition says it's the Pistons. They play with heart. I have really been impressed with the play of Billups. He will probably be the MVP if they do win. He is a gutsy, hardnosed player. Duncan has not been the superstar he needed to be. Off season free throw training is in your future, Timmy. Parker and Manu have been good at times, but overall, they have not had a great series. The Spurs will be lucky to get out of this one with the title. Momentum has shifted to the Pistons. But the Spurs have homecourt.

if the Spurs collapse in games 6 and 7 it will go down as one of the all time choke jobs.

it will erase the Rockets choke job this year out of the public conscience and it will shut up Spurs fans for at least another 6 months.

    Go Pistons.

No, it's not. That rule does not apply to Duncan because he is so fundamentally sound in every aspect of his games that he consistently misses layups under the basket with the championships on the line.

I really don't care that much, but if I had to choose I'd go Pistons, because McDyess has always been one of my favorite players and I want him to win one. I wouldn't mind the Spurs winning either though, because it would be cool for Horry to get another.

You gotta cut him slack coz he has been under constant pressure from Wallace and Wallace. :D

Shooting FT at high percentages is a completely matter though.

There was a sequence in the waning moment of Game 6 last night reminiscent of a scene in game 5 of New York Knicks vs Chicago Bulls in 1993 Eastern Conference playoff final in which Charles Smith simply couldn't find a way to put ball in the basket, when Scottie Pippen and Co. kept the pressure blocking Smith's every layup attempt. It was thought to be the turning point of that series, which Bulls eventually won 4-2, after being down 0-2. Now Duncan is no Smith, but the effect is similar, I hope the result is the same too.

Horry is the only reason that wouldn't want the Pistons to win 100%. I was hoping he would get mvp, that would be hilarious.

I hope the Pistons win it.

I love nothing more then an unloved champion coming back and proving all of the stupid media "experts" wrong.

I hope Larry gets this one and retire as a HOF. I like both team, but I like Spurs little less because of Manu Ginobili.

I was among the many that dismissed Detroit's championship last year, but man if I haven't fallen in love with that team this year. They're just hardnosed, gritty, and they just keep coming at you. Especially Chauncey Billups, he has to be the Anti-Steve, so to speak. How can you not love the point guard of a team that set the Finals record for fewest turnovers in a game. That guy just inspires confidence in you and he's the ultimate floor leader.

Actually, Houston has 2 Championships whereas SA only has 1 1/2. (At least according to Phil) and I'd like to keep it that way, as does most of the board. ;)

RHOF right here. Horry from 32 feet at the buzzer is all I need to get me thru the offseason.
