WOW! The NBA Fastbreak crew (Mark Jackson and Ric Bucher) just picked the Rockets and the Spurs to play in the Western Conf finals! They had the Rockets as the #4 seed, while the Spurs at #1. They both had the Spurs winning the series, and then Miami and Spurs meeting in the finals. I know we are getting respect, but DAMN! That sounds a bit far-fetched, although definitely not impossible. Also, they showed the highlight of Yao's technical (Ric Bucher was showing highlights of Yao's new found aggressiveness, and then showed his technical), he was mocking Yao as if he was saying to the ref "Who are you to call a tech on me! I am Yao Ming!" They were really praising the Rockets, and the now officially flip-flopping Mark Jackson praised the moves made by the Rockets to get shooters like "David Wesley" (funny he was criticizing the move by the Rockets when they got rid of JJ )
A Number 1 and Number 4 could only meet in the semi-finals, they would advance to play the 2-3-6-7 seed in the WC Finals...
Interesting, I think you've just pointed out an overlooked technicality in their argument . So I guess they meant Spurs and Houston would meet, and the winner of the series would go on to the Finals. Same point though...
Once again the media attention (love) is back. We are contenders when the allstar break came, then pretenders the next week, and now again contenders! Gotta love it!
Damn just think about the Hype machine if somehow someway, we actually made it to the finals. Rockets vs. Heat. The media would go crazy for that.... Disclaimer: Not saying this will happen
No, there was no oversight by them - they were doing a faux NCAA tournament seeding hypo. They had four teams, with the Spurs v. Rockets as the #1 v #4 AND the Heat v Pistons as the #2 v #3. They had the Rockets ranked 4th out of these four teams. Total hypothetical, to go along with the NCAA theme.
He's HORRRIBLE! (Bill Walton style) He sounds like a preacher, not a basketball analyst. And as I pointed out: a flip-flopper. I just don't like the guy. He is kinda funny though. My favorite lineup for NBA Fastbreak used to have Kevin Frasier, Greg Anthony, Steven A Smith, and Tim Legler. They just had a lot fo chemistry and were hilarious to watch. Frasier would often get on SAS's nerves, so I enjoyed that.
