http://www.operationsports.com/newspost.php?id=418616 It might be a videogame but regardless... I love listening to the trio's broadcasts...
So if Mark Jackson gets a coaching job next year, we are gonna have Mark Jackson broadcasting a game coached by Mark Jackson?
I hope they have JVG's cheesy jokes. I don't think I can buy this game though, Live is just complete garbage now.
Yea, It really is.... I will rent.....Maybe they blew up the series and started from scratch and it ends up being the GOAT... highly doubt it tho....Here I come 2k11
Nice move by EA. Although, I think this draws the attention of a small portion of the hardcore NBA video game fans. 2K's addition of Michael freaking Jordan has the attention of a broader market. JVG and them are my favorite broadcast team today. I HATE 2K's use of that Kellog guy. Harlan can stay
They changed the name from NBA Live to NBA Elite? And this is a hell of a lot better than adding Jordan, IMO. I don't like playing with old teams or legends rosters anyway.
Not only that... but they completely pulled apart the game and essentially created a new one. Which makes sense seeing how Live was slowly dying... However, if this game fails... I think they are done for good.
I don't get it, why is adding his name a big deal when it doesn't add anything to the gameplay or the experience? You could create a player with his likeness or moves in many games already.
If you can create to his likeness in "My Player" mode, it's probably a very significant upgrade in the latest version. I know they had the Air dunk package but you could not pick his fadeaway or jumpshot in the last game. I see them adding this nice feature to 2K.
I liked playing live simply because I can create my own player (that looks like me) and then score 200 ppg.
Regardless, the Game play is 10X better than on NBA live. I used to play NBA live until 3 years ago and the only thing EA has over 2K is player likeness and All star weekend. I could care less about Jordan being in the game.
Its not the same. We're talking about an official Michael Jordan in a video game. And you don't have to waste time trying to create him from scratch. If you played basketball games as a child during the nes/snes/sega era, this is kind of a big deal.
I did, and I owned Jordan vs. Bird even, but I still don't care.... I guess I just don't care about playing with retired players or teams, while the commentating is a big deal for me. If the gameplay is halfway decent I might buy my first Live game since Sega. (Although I've been saying that for a few years now...I've gotten bored with 2K)
all basketball games suck now... it games never play the way you want them to play. For example, there is no control over footwork. If they somehow implemented a level of footwork control comparable to FIFA games, then I'll take another look.
