Just curious your thoughts on this: 1) Does it make sense to merge the "NBA Dish" and the "College, International Hoops & NBA Draft" forums? 2) If so, what should the name of the new forum be? Especially when it's not March Madness/Olympics/NBA Draft times, the College/International/Draft forum gets little to no action. I'm just wondering if people want to merge the two in to an All-Hoops-But-Not-Rockets type forum.
The other forum isn't being used very much so I'd say yes maybe "The NBA and Other Basketball" nahhh that sounds stupid... lemme think of some more
1.Yes 2.Other Basketball Action and News Discussion and don't forget to add "Hell, the slower people in the group can even talk about ex-Pacer Vern Fleming.
How about 'The Non-Rockets Bball Forum'. Everything to do with basketball everywhere- except Rockets related. Or something similar. Sounds like a great idea, btw.
It's gotta be something catchy so we can continue to say stuff like this: dude wtf is up with the Dish or dude have you seen the GARM?????!!!!???!!!
Yes, I think so, because the other forum gets less action than Manny! All your non-Rockets hoops talk belong to us (Maybe you could also change the forum description so that still active ex-Rockets get discussed in this forum, sometimes it does not seem 100 % clear where to discuss, e.g., Cat's performance in a game for Sacramento, etc.)
No, please do not merge. I only have mild interest in International or College Hoops. When Final 4 comes, we'll have boatload of threads on it. I would hate to have to filter through all that for my NBA fix. Just my opinion. [Edit] Clutch, how about making it a poll? I think there are alot of people who prefered to be heard with a single click.
1. God yes. People (including me) were always posting stuff about draft prospects in NBA Dish, and then they would get moved to the other forum, and no one ever saw them because no one seems to actually care about that forum. 2. "Non-Rockets BBall Talk" or something of that nature would work.
It's gonna suck in March to have to wade through 19 "Canisius rules!" threads. There's a reason nobody goes to the college forum.
Let NBA draft prospect talk & US Olympic team (since it is very closely associated with the NBA) talk stay in here - when it gets moved over there it shrivels and dies due to lack of traffic. You could still keep the other forum though, but I'm not sure if college B-ball couldn't just go in the regular Hangout.
Merge into one forum. the international/college gets no views...and there's sometimes decent stuff posted in there. it would be meaningless to keep on moving stuff there - i mean, i'm interested in the Bogut stuff, but it won't have discussion unless it's in here. oh...and a name. -Professional and International Talk aka "the PIT"
Merge them and call them The Dream Forum in honor of Hakeem and since most of the posts have to do with who we can get on our team from other teams and from college and high school.
