Caron Butler has been chewing straws for like 7 years.

Caron Butler now plays for the Mavs

The Mavs are a threat to destroy Sterns dream of another Laker finals.

I'm fine with the sleeves, it made players look like high schoolers, and I can get behind not letting wade wear the bandages cause it made him look like a douche, haha  .

In all seriousness, yeah, it's kinda getting ridiculous on what players can and can't do these days.

It really is weird that all of a sudden it matters. All ESPNs fault.

    Ditto.

Stern needs something to chew on himself.

Forgive my ignorance - first of all, why does a grown up man chews straw or toothpick or thumb anyway? Can someone please explain it to me?

But straws are so much better than gum! They are cheaper and less sticky. When I'm done with them I put them in my pocket. They last a long time, too.

Stern is being dumb about this.

PTI was discussing this and said Stern didn't want kids imitating the straw chewing.

Cuban definately has a reason to get his panties in a bind on this one though. If he's been doing this for 7 years, its pretty shady they are all of a sudden banning it now

well, for the same reason you would tell your kid not to run with a straw in their mouth and then show them the straw through the potato example. why do they need a straw in their mouth during play?
