Thought this might be of interest to all you Rocks fans. The NBA.com website has a poll where you can vote for player of the month for January: http://www.nba.com/features/january00_player.html

    You have these choices:
Chris Webber, Kevin Garnett, Shaq, Terrell Brandon (???), Tim Duncan, Grant Hill, Allen Iverson, Gary Payton, and ELTON BRAND????

OK, if I am not mistaken, Francis was named player of the week for Jan. 17-23. All the other players of the week in Jan. are there. Stevie's numbers look like great for the month too. I am not saying he should have won the poll, but he damn sure should have been a choice. "F" NBA.com!!!

Thanks for the info, Hoop T. I sent in the following comment and I would hope that everyone here would do the same.
"Did you just forget to include Steve Francis for player of the month for January or are you dissing him on purpose? Every other player of the week is represented, why not Francis? This is a tremendous oversight and an insult to the intelligence of all NBA fans, not just Rockets fans."

I noticed that days ago. It's completely ridiculous that one of the players of the week isn't there.

Thanks Mulder! I'd definitely send in my comment to the NBA.com.

    I sent in my comment.

Told them that they misspelled Steve's name and that "Elton Brand" was not even close [IMG]

I actually received a reply from the NBA web guys. I wonder, is this a form letter? Did everyone get something similar? The e-mail read:

    Thank you for contacting us.

We appreciate you pointing this out to us. It will be passed on to the
    appropriate department for review.

I just let them know. Steve reeks of superstar and basketball fans deserve to see as much of him as possible.

I sent my usual hyperventilated opinion off to these clowns....

Excuse me ? Player of the month ? Are you nuts ? How can you leave Steve Francis off the list ? He's CLEARLY superior to half the stiffs on there. Besides his recognition for excellence as an NBA player of the week, then leading the team to a victory over the top team in the league, LA, plus victories over Portland and Miami, did you notice the six game win streak without a healthly center, ( Cato,Hakeem,Massenburg,Rogers) able to play ? What the heck are you people watching ?

Remember! The NBA has never had respect for the Houston Rockets and the city.

What can we do? Let our plays talk!

I got the same BS response from NBA.com---i dont understand oh the Hell Brand gets on there, he leads his team to the worse NBA record, with Toni back half the month. And Steve with Hakeem at like 60-70% Cato out for a handfull of games, same for Rogers, and 2 10 day contract players, leads his team to wins over Portland,Miami,Denver, and on the last game of the month for Houston a win over the Lakers? Yet Brand gets in there? whatever....

    I feel a Rockets Revolution!

Down with Nba.com, Down with David Stern, Rod thorn or who ever the hell is responsible for this propoganda.

Its obvious they don't want what Stevie's doing to supersede Kobe are Carter.

I think Mulder didn't list his name because he was embarrassed that they called him 'Spooky'. [IMG]

while I abhor the potentially grave consequences of cyberterrorism where our national security is concerned, it seems that NBA.COM is due for a good old-fashioned DOS attack.

Shout out to you pube-moustached hackers- DEFACE THE NBA!!!! (.com)
