    Mavericks 26%

    Kings 20%

    Rockets 17%

    Cavaliers 14%

    Pistons 11%

    Grizzlies 7%

    Wizards 5%

I think the Pistons are ranked abit too low. They should be right up there with the Mavs and Kings. Otherwise the poll looks pretty on target.

I just can't see the Sonics keeping this up....They are playing above their heads.

I would LOVE to play the Sonics in the playoffs! They just seem like on of thoughs reagular season teams that can't cut it in the playoffs. Kinda like the Grizz were last year.

rockets are the 4th (or 5th) best team right now:

    Spurs, Suns, Heat, Rockets, Sonics.

I don't know if I'm ready to say we're better than the Kings or the Mavs, but we're certainly to a point where we merit being described as one of the toughest teams to beat. Certainly no one is excited about the possibility of playing us in the playoffs. Not even the Spurs, who we've beaten twice now. :D

As for the Cav's making the list, that's simply a matter of the enormous respect people have for Lebron. They believe he can create miracles. I believe he can too.... just not necessarily this year.

I think you are right. But, at what point does it go from playing above their heads to actually being considered a good team? Will they be successful in the playoffs? Probably not. They are a good team, though.

i think we're way past the point to call the sonics a fluke. they have some really good players and are built to take advantage of how the nba rules are set-up right now. while i don't think they're chamiponship material i also don't think they're playing over their heads. they've surrounded two all-star players(or atleast all-star level in rashard lewis) with a bunch of quick guys who can knock down 3-pointers. it's worked well.

there is allways room in the second half of the season for the sonics to crumble, however i would rather play them in the playoffs.

I agree the sonics are a good legit team, but its just that their brand of basketball typically has failed to produce results come playoff time when teams start to slug it out in a 7 game series. Its sort of like the Dallas Mavericks Syndrome, great regular season but nothing to show for it in the playoffs because they cant play defense and teams wont allow them to run as much. Not since the Showtime Lakers in 88 has a team who really solely on an up-tempo high scoring game have won a championship.

I like the Rockets against the Sonics or Mavs in the playoffs. Spurs and Suns are likely a quick out. I would take on the Kings instead of Memphis, I don't know why but I would.

If the question is right now, statistically, the Rockets are 8-2 in the last 10 with a 4 game win streak. No other team matches either of those numbers except San Antonio, who isn't in the poll.
