http://www.nba.com/features/player_rankings.html I'm surprised no one has posted this yet. I'm really proud to be a rocket and seeing Tmac being praised for his great plays early in the season. Though I do think KG might win it in the end. Tmac and Yao's gonna split the vote no doubt.
I saw it, but trust me...who cares about the reg. season awards let's stay healthy and get tmac a finals mvp
Good Omen. He has a great chance of being the best player on the best team this regular season, which is apparently the criteria for MVP.
If the Celtics make the playoffs, KG will win it almost automatically. The media loves him too much not to vote for him, not that he's undeserving but he will always get the 'nod' over guys like Yao and T-Mac and even Kobe, because they're not media darlings.
yao and tmac will never get it b/c they have not won in the playoffs. u want to give it to a guy who "could potentially" lose in the first round again (look at dirk). kobe does not have a great team to get it and prolie never will. the celts will prollie be a 55+ win and one of the top 3-4 teams in the L record-wise (b/c they're in the east helps) so kg has a great chance. he's putting up a ridiculous 23, 13, and 6 right now . best big man in the game right now OVERALL. duncan has kinda fallen off.
Sure, since the MVP is for regular season performance, not playoff performance. Duncan hasn't "fallen off"...Duncan almost always cruises through the regular season to avoid injuries, then once again proves to all the doubters why he's the best big man in the league come playoff time. In case you haven't noticed, the Spurs are playing 10 guys 17+ minutes each. Pops has always been more concerned about injuries to key players than overall season record (they're still going to be in the top 4 every season). Duncan is one of those guys whose stats are a bit misleading, kinda like Dream when he used to score in the low 20's when he was easily capable of averaging 30ppg to go along with his stellar all-around play. Their greatness go beyond season stats.
I agree on cruising in the regular season. I don't think Spurs are too concerned with seeding. I mean, spurs aren't afraid of who they have to face in the playoffs, as long as they are healthy and conserve their energy, they can beat anyone.
he's still dominant, but he's NOWHERE close to where he was 3-4 yrs ago where he demands a double team almost every time. right now, he doesn't demand those double teams. and he really only dominated the suns. he was pretty good v. the jazz and nuggs, but only decent v. the cavs. he's still a great big man, but in terms of what one guy has to do for his team, KG is that guy. 23, 13, 6. he's doing it all.
On NBATV, TMac just got the Southwest Airlines High Flyer of the Week Award for his left-handed dunk over Kobe in the Lakers game. Congrats TMac.
thank god ,finally i can post reply today hi ,everyone ,i'm new here seeing the Celtics' performance today ,i think KG will be the mvp in the end if there 're not any injury ,though i like T-mac for his scoring 13 in 35 seconds
wow.....teammates do make differences ....with the right people around you , you can be an immediate winner from a perennial loser....
