Hmm 7-55 on the iso.. That's sick. Needs to get up some free throw reps and we can play him late game on both ends ><

This dude has to be a top-10 defender in the League already. 15% on iso situations!!!

The dude is only going to improve. And at 6'10", we have ourselves a long term Small Forward.

He shot ~60% from the line in college .... hard to figure why he's fallen to a 30%FT shooter.

Did you not see his defensive stat on iso plays? They don't want any of that on TNT.

Is there a way to compare those defensive stats to others in the league?

Type in a player, select his name, choose "Defense - Plays", enter in another player's name in the search bar and you can compare the two.

Last I checked, he's ranked 9th among players who've faced a minimum of 25 ISO plays.

Keep in mind it doesn't take into account plays in which a defender smothered a guy so much that he forced him to pass the ball away or prevented him from receiving the ball in the first place.

I will say Parsons has surprised me greatly I wasnt too high on him coming out of Florida but he has been very impressive with his fearlessness in taking it too the rim and his ability to play defense is outstanding.

If he only continuous to improve his jumper which I think he will he cant have a great NBA career and I know the comparison has already been made but it can be much in the lines of Battier though Parsons right now has the potential to better than Battier but we'll see if he can maximize his potential the way Battier has because Battier is still by far the better player.

compare that to kawhi leonard (whom many wanted as our defensive stopper) 21/42 for 50% on iso plays this year.

Wow I remember when the GARM were all tight about Chandler's potential offensive capabilities, but now it's his defense that grounds him. I like.

I'm no authority on this, but I do recall a Florida fan on here that said Parsons' shooting ability correlates to his confidence. If it's up he shoots well, if it's down so is his shooting, and the correlation is most apparent at the line.

Well, the stat is 7-44 FG%. We don't know what happened on the other 11 ISOs. They could be TOs or Assists or a foul and FTs....or nothing. As far as we know, Parsons fouled the guy on all 11 other ISOs. But yeah, it is still sick. Wish I could look up the stat on other players.

but it isn't 7-55 in terms of FG%. Otherwise the guy quoted would not have said "that's equivalent to 15.9.%"

Clutch, can you change "Patrick Patterson: On a good road but early" to "Chandler Parsons, You aint gonna get your rep ON ME!"
