"There's still talent on the roster with Luis Scola, and Shane Battier, and Chuck Hayes, and Aaron Brooks."

    Hayesfan write this? :)

I like Chuck but I'm not sure if I'm picking 4 guys that he's one of the names I'm mentioning.

I'm a big fan of David Aldridge, but as far as I know, Yao has never been 330 pounds, and he's never been anywhere close to a 61% shooter for a season. It's like he mixed Yao with Shaq halfway through the description.

And by the way, the Rockets are middle class at this point.

If you had to go by playoff performance I am putting Hayes right there. Against the toughest opponent of the season he outperformed Landry, Lowry, Wafer.

What he means when he says 'middle class' is a combo of how much a team has spent this offseason and the team's prospects for this coming season. A real confusing ranking, especially with the inclusion of the 'dreamers'.

Pretty funny to see Hayes in there. On defense he is definitely talented, and offense not so much. ;) A lot depends on when T-Mac makes his return, and untill we know that, predicting anything would be a guess, and not a very educated one. However, we definitely have enough talent to make the playoffs, but everyone must play to the best or near best of their potential. The really good news that has happened this offseason is that we are getting younger, which certainly looks good for our future. :)

they didnt even mention Von Wafer leaving. Hayes must be a bigger star than Von Wafer is to the media

He probably means 61% true shooting percentage (combination of eFG% and FT%) which is what Yao shot last year. Yao's career true shooting percentage is actually slightly higher than Shaq's (.596 vs .585). Goes to show what a difference ft shooting makes.

Edit: Then again Aldridge does say that 61% is what he shot from the floor, so he probably just was looking at the wrong column.

Are you trying to say that Chuck Hayes is not talented. Sure he may not have many talents but he is talented. The guy did not say All-Stars. Chuck has been a starter too.

So who would be your replacement pick?

Yao wasn't that heavy, Aldridge! If he was 330 lbs, he would break his foot in 30 games.

It's like he put Yao's height with Shaq's weight and FG%.

I like DA he is one of the few decent writers on Nba.com unlike John schumann and Art Garcia both really stereotypers and dont present a unique prof. writer opinian ..

Anyway we are middle class .. i really dont like being middle class cause you dont make any run to the championship or have a good chance in the lottery right now i dont mind if we preform less than middle class and dont mind if we get some wins and competing when the great wall and Mac are back but i do mind being middle class ..

The story about him leaving for a foreign team hasn't hit the US media. I wonder if it's fake.

He said Chuck Hayes because the national media still hasn't figured out that Chuck and Carl Landry are two different players. Its kind of sad, considering how different they are in playing style, but that's the most likely explanation.
