*knock on wood* but didn't JL3 perform pretty well last summer as well? That's all I'll say because I hope Brooks pans out.

That's a funny comment to make after watching him commit 9 turnovers in 33 minutes.

Some of those turnovers weren't completely Aaron's fault. His teammates weren't able to hold onto the ball and Brooks ended up with the TO. I can think of at least one to Landry and one to Harris that went that way.

Kamla compared him to AI during the game. Methinks he went overboard.

I only got to watch the first summer league game, but Brooks looks like he has terrific court vision. I believe he is leading the summer league in assists per game average.

    there is a huge difference

jl3 isnt good in the nba because he can't shoot and he never passes

brooks is a great shooter and a great passer, i think his talent will carry.

I think Brooks' game converts REALLY well to the NBA. The problem with summer league stars like Moochie and Lucas is that while they can run a team adequately, they don't have the pure speed/athleticism or ability to create for themselves against NBA competition. With Brooks' speed he is practically unguardable and has great range with a quick release. Add to that his baller mentality and ability to find teammates and you have a potential starting PG.

    Great pick.

Guess who lead the summer league in assists per game, last year?

    Summer League assists leader 2006
    John Lucas 7.6

Lucas was three times the passer and floor leader at OSU that Brooks was at Oregon. Brooks is most certainly a better shooter, though.

I agree. People keep comparing Brooks to Lucas but what they don't realize is that Brooks is more explosive. Did Lucas ever dunk in a game in college?

Guys, Brooks is the real deal... Those turnovers are so misleading because landry and others were so far below him in talent and the balls literally bounced off their chest.

Brooks showed he is a leader on the court, he showed he can shoot, pass, and get to the basketball.

If you saw Lucas at all in last years summer league and then watched Brooks this year in his two games you would know easily that Lucas isn't in Brooks league.. I think we have somthing special in Brooks and Kamla who I'm a HUGEEEE fan of agree's 100% which makes me feel alot better.

DW DUCK IS THE REAL DEAL
