NBA.com dropped us from 5th to 6th which is still pretty reasonable since we haven't really done anything significant this week. Hopefully we can prove we belong among the elite when we beat at least 3 of the 4 opponents this week. We cannot afford to lose more than once this week, especially if we play any of them in the playoffs.
we've barely beaten (suns/mavs) or lost to the other good teams (utah) recently. we've beaten the cavs though so that should give us some credit. but we've taken the advantage of a very easy schedule after a very tough schedule to start.
Yeah, but we beat the Cavs soundly, and Utah is a game that we fought hard in and probably would have won had we made our free throws. And if you don't count the Chicago debacle, which hopefully was an absolute fluke, we have won ten of our last 11. But I agree with your point . .
Well, we got bumped out by Orlando who didn't lose at all last week (including a win against a Garnett/Rondo-free Celtics). To add to that, they beat Phoenix more soundly than we did. It makes sense. We'll see Utah fall back to earth now that they're about to hit the road. But then again, the Rockets have an unbelievably tough week ahead...
Did anyone else notice in Feigen's latest blog that teams have played their second of back-to-backs in s#!t lake city twelve times since about the new year. That sounds like a high number and may have some bearing on the success of the j*zz at home. If that is the case, then their road trips should expose them a little. In the end, I don't care too much about power rankings, but it is nice to be recognized I guess.
