He really looks and sounds mature and is a perfect fit for the Rockets' culture. He constantly refered to winning for the team, may it be the Rox or Kentucky. He's a definite team player who will not create chemistry issues. I LIKE!
My apologies, the link only goes to the general video page for nba.com. I don't know if it is possible to the direct link for this one.

Wow, his maturity is like night and day compared to so many of the other lottery picks! They were freshmen, but still its incredible seeing the difference.
Thanks HeWhoIsLunchbox. Yes, he's incredibly mature and seems to display the same work ethic, or outlook on basketball that someone lie Scola does. He's a gem.
Well not only are those guys freshmen and Patterson an upperclassmen, but PP graduated in 3 years which puts him ahead of the curve among college students in general, let alone college athletes.
Initially I wasn't thrilled with this pick (not opposed, just wasn't a big fan of PP), but after hearing him on 610 and in various interviews, he's really grown on me. His maturity is something that stands out compared with most of the other lottery picks that are younger. He fits in with this team very well; it's easy to see why our "war room" was ecstatic when the Raptors picked Ed Davis. On a side note, I was really hoping we would be able to pick up Xavier Henry. Like PP, he seems very mature, especially when considering he is only a freshman. Whiteside, on the other hand, doesn't come off as a particularly skilled orator. He's a good value pick in the 2nd round, but I'm sort of glad we didn't take him, it would've been quite a risk. Free agency is really the place to be looking to fill holes in our roster, not the draft, especially considering we're on the verge of being great.
Patrick Patterson wins the anti-Al Farouq Aminu award. From this year onward I'll call it that until someone out-dumbs Al Farouq Aminu. It should take I guess three years on average.
Did you see Hassan Whiteside's interview? It seems that Aminu just has a hard time articulating his ideas in a traditional fashion, whereas Whiteside just doesn't have many wonderful thoughts to articulate (no offense to him).
I really really like what this guy is going to bring to our team in many ways.. but i dont like him talking about being a sf. He's over 6'9" with shoes and his size will not hold him back from being sucessful as a pf. He's taller and longer than Landry(also talkd about transitioning to the sf) and i really hope our staff instills that confidence in his size and how he is in no way undersized at the pf spot, hes 1 inch too short to play the C, but hes the same height as scola and more athletic. His body is made for the pf spot and i hope he figures that out soon. Love this guys attitude though, instant contributer...
wow, this guy is mature... no joke... can handle an interview well too, almost like he rehearsed it. I know why the Rockets like him.

Best part of video: Sager - "Have you ever met [Yao]?" P-Pat - "Oh, I met him at my workout. I turned around, there he is. " Like, I loved his physical reaction with his eyebrow raise. Looked like something out of Lie to Me.
