I'm just glad we didn't draft the alternative, Mike Dunleavy.

What I thought was interesting was to see how far Caron Butler had fallen! Wasn't he the psuedo favorite for ROY going into the season? Now he is 7th on the list!!! Interesting!!

    That's 26. Remove Our team, so there's only 2 teams that didn't.

Must say I'm shocked though. I don't think he'll win ROY. Butler or Jay Williams will get it. Thos guys will get a LOT more points/minutes, and their teams won't be awful.

Really doesn't mean anything. How many people voted for Gasol to win last year? Let's just see how the season goes and hope that Yao becomes the man we hope he'll be.

Well, 75% didn't think he would win Rookie of the Year. That doesn't mean they didn't think he was the best player.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Considering everyone was saying Ming would be a project before the draft including pro Mingers, having one third of the GM's saying he will win ROY is a big deal.

With Mourning out in Miami, I think Butler will get alot of shots this year. Memphis already has Battier and Gasol, so I dont think Gooden's numbers will be off the charts or anything this year. Jay Williams has the best opportunity out of everyone to put up the most sexy numbers. Ming will have his chances, but I dont seem him playing 40 plus mins and having alot of shot opportunities with Taylor, Francis, Rice and Mobley. I think Ming will be first team all rook, but my pick for rook of the year is Williams or Butler.

Ming's stock skyrocketed after the World Championship. Apparently, seeing Ming play in the WBC made a lot of difference. It made a difference on me, and on lots of people on this board.

Butler was only hyped by the media. The GMs didn't buy it, or he wouldn't have fallen so far in the draft. What surprises me is that even the fans poll doesn't give the Butler any prop.

His stock most definitely went up after the WBC even though he got rare touches on the ball and had the worse guards ever. I cannot wait to see him on Oct 14th against San Antonio.

Here are 10 possible Grade A C that Yao will have to face:
    O'Neal, Shaquille
    Robinson, David
    Ratliff, Theo
    Olowokandi, Michael
    Mutombo, Dikembe
    Miller, Brad
    LaFrentz, Raef
    Divac, Vlade
    Davis, Dale
    Campbell, Elden

Here are 10 possible Grade A PG that J-Will will have to face:
    Gary Payton
    STEVE FRANCIS
    Jason Kidd
    Steve Nash
    Andre Miller
    Mike Bibby
    Stephon Marbury
    Sam Cassell
    Baron Davis
    John Stockton

Personally, I like Yao's chances better than J-will.
    :D

Unless you have heard something the rest of us haven't...Yao will not be here on the 14th. The AGs dont end till the 15th and he will need travel time to get here.
Dont expect him till probably about the 20th or so...
