Could it be the Rockets since they had interest in him in the offseason and the Rockets have worked a lot of players out lately. He says he is "90 percent" back and if I remeber from his days at Duke, he was a deadly shooter.

Erm, why would we sign JL III if we were planning on working out Jason Williams. Not to mention that Rafer is coming back. Face it, we're not the team.

Since Rafer will be back and Lucas just signed, not sure the Rockets will be that interested, we just saw him a couple months back and I guess we didn't like what we saw.

Also, Jay just worked out for Miami not too long ago and they passed as well. He should just attempt his comeback next season when he is fully healthy.

From a few weeks ago, I thought it was with the Heat.

Whatever. Try to remember his days as a Bull, when he couldn't keep the starting job they handed to him over Jamal Crawford. Now he's a shadow of that overwhelmed rookie.

10 day contracts are his future in the league. Bobby Hurley 2.

IIRC, Williams worked out with quite a few teams. All of them passed.

The Rockets have struggled with injuries at the guard position and were in a perfect situation to bring Williams in to give him a shot.... but we passed as well.

    Not a good sign.

I thought the Heat actually were going to sign him. Or maybe it was just work him out.

Just because we signed Lucas doesn't mean it's some multi-year multi-million dollar contract. We could try out Jay Williams, and if we felt he would help the team more, Lucas would go the way of Graham and Glover.

his name is JAY williams. Jason Williams is the guy on the Heat, and Jayson is the guy who shot someone.

Actually, I think he officially changed it back to Jason Williams. I think it's easier to use Jay so people know who we're talking about.

I was pretty excited to hear that we were working him out last summer and was a little disappointed when we passed. But the Heat and even the Raptors passed as well, so I guess he's just not ready.

He needs to just work out and become as healthy as possible, if not, he could just another journeyman running on 10 day contracts.

The Raps actually made him an offer, Williams didn't like that it wasn't guaranteed so he passed.
