    Great change of scenery.

I think Hayes would make a great football player -- good size, quickness, footwork, intensity. Not that evident to me, but I guess he's got some good receiver hands too.

He could probably play a multitude of positions.

check as center would be awesome
the leverage he would put on opposing DE and DT
first nfl line to go zero sacks in 3 straight years

Center? Chuck would be more suited to TE. Imagine how good he would be at catching fade routes in the endzone. It is basically like rebounding except he would be going against people 6 inches shorter than himself instead of six inches taller.

I've always wondered how Chuck was recruited to high profile colleges and done so well offensively. Surely he couldn't have been as offensively challenged in high school and college as he is now. It always puzzled me. Anyway, I love chuck as he is now and won't complain because he's such a great defender and never gives up, so I can't fault any player who plays his heart out like Chuck.

There were a few NFL teams after he wasn't drafted after his senior year who were looking to find out if he was interested in professional football.. Cincinnati was one of the teams. But I'm very glad that he decided to stick with basketball.

He played receiver in high school right? So yeah, TE makes the most sense to me. He could definitely put up some blocks to help his teammates though.

He was a good offensive player in college. You can see how well he passes now, well he did that in college. You see now how he's quick on his feet... he was good around the post in college. He could shoot some jumpers up until his senior year.. that's when the hitch got worse. But never so bad as it was his third and fourth year in the league.

It's funny how Chuck seems so stubby and vertically-challenge in the NBA, but would actually be one of the bigger players in the NFL, at least at a skill position. We all know he's built like a truck, and his draft measurements put him at just under 6'7" in shoes.

    I'm thinking TE.

No wonder Chucky has such great hands and quickness.

He'd be a beast on the field, possibly a pro bowler like Antonio Gates.

I wonder why the hitch in his shot keeps getting worse and worse after every year in the league.

Maybe he's focusing on all the defensive aspects of his game that the offensive side has fallen off, badly.

We still love ya Chuck!

Chuck is still making more than he would in a career in the NFL.

there's NBA strong. then there's NFL strong.

chuck runs what 240? NFL centers are around 300 with a lower center of gravity than chuck.

chuck could play tight end. and there's no reason he couldn't be on the defensive side at LB. chuck sees the court well and has quick feet

it's actually kind of hard to project whose skills would be transferable. for example watching charlie ward on the knicks all those years you'd never project him as a Heisman winner.

Chuck was scouted by Bengals and the Patriots in college according to his college coach at the Twolves games.

He is the smallest center in NBA. But he could be the biggest TE in NFL :)
Texans needs him after Owen Daniels season ending injury. :(

I would love to see Chuck on the gridiron. He would be a beast at TE, trucking the s*** out of people.

Chuck was a wr in high school he definitely be a Tight en in the nfl. Probably the same for Lebron, but Lebron would be an animal at either, like Calvin Johnson type receiver, maybe not as quick, but as an athlete, they are both amazing specimens.

    Not really.

I know it doesn't seem like it but the average NBA player is MUCH taller than the average NFL one.

You see how Tall Andre Johnson is, he's one of the tallest WRs....at 6 foot 3.

That is SG height in the NBA.

Big Al (the fat @$$ that used to play for the Tacks) is 6'6
    Chris Jenkins 6'4.

So most DTs and NFL players are shorter than Chuck.

One of the best players to use leverage MJD is 5'7...a bit short for any NBA player lol.

Dwight Freeney...is like a inch taller than Chris Paul.

I think the point is...NBA players are really tall

I think Chuck could be awesome at a monster/outside linebacker in a 3-4. He's got the quickness to be great at pass rush, the awareness to be great in zone coverage, and I'd bet that he could lay the wood on any running back or receiver that tried to play the middle of the field.
