Nice. I wonder when this interview was conducted, probably sometime during training camp since T-Mac was in his jersey. It was good to hear T-Mac agree with Sager in that Battier was the heart and soul of the Rockets. To me, that's a sign that he's going to try and fit in instead of having the team fit him.
ParaSolid, can you summarize the key points from the interview in 3-4 lines if possible? I am not able to view the video ( god damn websense, at work) thanks!
McGrady: "I'm pretty sure I won't start off the season. ...ahead of schedule ...it takes a year to fully recover ...I had to get away ...that's why I moved to Chicago" On Battier: "110% every night... Always on the court ...injuries ..playing it through it all ... a competitor"
only after he said they would have to get past his guys(rockets) the reporter told mcgrady who he thought would win it all besides the rockets, but mcgrady made it clear that he had faith in his team. Please if you did not listen to the interview dont go off of what others have said.
OMG what a Douche, Trade him. He is barely talking about the team, I had to move to Chivago, I had to get away, I may not be ready ME, ME, ME!!!!!! Such a peice of **** I swear. Man Trade him for Darko and Curry please!
I won't agree with your desires, but will admit that his self-serving-ness is what irks me the most about his character.
I feel like that was taken right after or even during Media Day. He says exactly those same thing he told Aldridge during different interview.
Man Craig Sager was awful in that interview.....he was stumbling bumbling, and sucking it up.....simply "Boom goes the Dynamite" - ish. Yuck. DD
I really doubt it was taken during training camp. You don't wear teams' jerseys during camp. You wear practice jersey and I doubt they ask him to wear his normal jersey just for a short, 4 minute interview. The on;y day you wear those jerseys before preseason is Media Day.
That bothers me. Reminiscent of last year, when he kept insisting that his injury would take much longer to get fully recovered.
That's true. But who cares what he says? He has said A LOT... He knows that if he comes back in february the best deal he'll get in the summer will be around 3-4 m per year.
