To do so, Maurice Taylor, who signed a one-year deal last year, may be the odd man out. The Houston Chronicle reports that Taylor said that if the Rockets choose to make a play on Webber, Taylor would not be offended. Taylor, meanwhile, is rumored to be interested in Seattle this offseason under the condition that the Sonics part with Vin Baker. Taylor is averaging 13.1 points and 5.6 rebounds this season. More Webb Each week, a friend of Chris Webber comes out of the woodwork and talks about this offseason's most sought free agent. In previous weeks, Latrell Sprewell, Isiah Thomas and Jalen Rose, to name a few, were said to be friends of Webber and could convince him to play with their teams. This week, the Pistons' Billy Owens is talking about C-Webb. There has been some speculation that Billy Owens was not traded before last month's trade deadline because of his ability to possibly lure Webber to Detroit. Owens, who will also be a free agent this summer, is averaging only 5.9 points to go along with his 6.6 rebounds per game. I think I posted this link back in March. I distinctly remember also that Taylor would not put himself in a place with a starting PF anyway, meaning Baker. ------------------ My doctor says I am bipolar. I am going to get a second opinion. I have never had intimate desires for polar bears.

Cato for Baker? Trade a lazy bum for a lazy headcase? Baker is even more expensive than Cato and would hamper our ability to sign a player who doesn't suck. Baker has been treated for depression. We don't need him. ------------------

I'm sure Seattle could quickly accomodate Mo Tay. It's not like Baker's a permanent fixture there especially with the way he's been playing. My guess is they'd be more than happy to get rid of Baker if it meant getting a quality PF. ------------------ "If a nuclear bomb dropped on earth, two things would survive: roaches and David Falk." -- Kevin McHale quote courtesy of Patricia Bender's website.
