http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/awards?page=awards-091117 Worry not folks, this band of guys is forcing to be acknowledged throughout the lead. Personally, I could not be happier
mvp - ab dpoy - chuck mip - ariza roy - c-bud 6th man - landry a rockets sweep! first time in history. (oh, i'd give coy to someone other than adelman.)
All of these awards are driven by statistical production. (PTS, REBS, ASTS, BLKS) Although Chuck Hayes might be one of the best defenders in the game, as well as Battier - their contributions, (i.e. deflections, forcing bad passes/shots) aren't tracked - therefore, no credit will be given to them for these types of awards.
I actually don't agree with Aaron being at the top for MIP. His scoring has basically increased linearly with his minutes, his rebounding has decreased on a per minute basis, and while his assists have almost doubled, his turnovers have more than doubled. Also, his 3pt and FT shooting has decreased.
