Man.......flame this thread if you want but I wanted to give the diehard fans a place to vent some frustration.... We knock off the hottest team in the league and end their twelve game winning streak last night and neither NBA dot com or ESPN dot com have us on the front page....WTF???? Not even a sniff in the main headlines.........I saw a sidebar article in the ESPN site but that is it. What a bunch of losers!!!
I think we are just used to it by now. No respect from the refs, from very few websites, and very few people. I kind of like it like that. Reminds me of the old days when no one picked us and we won it all.
hey thats actually an improvement on espn whenever the i see the rockets win there isnt even a sidebar mention. generally i have to scroll down to the scores and click on it to read the AP recap of the game. at this point i've stopped caring at what the national media says or does not say i just want my boys to keep going out there and winning games
March Madness is a bit of a bigger story this week (and next and the week after that) than an ugly (sorry folks... it was ugly but a win!) win over the Heat. We did get national tv coverage for the game... so I don't see too much room to complain.
its tourney time - that is front page stuff its the top story along the side of the NBA page they are previewing the game tonight on the main story link the Rockets have been on ESPN Motion for the past two weeks (tmac going to visit the rocket and now tmac on hockey guy) relax - ESPN sucks, but they are not anti-rockets if anything, they are anti- Grizzles - that team is one game back of us and they get no play what so ever
I remember it well. The Rockets won the NBA championship and Sports Illustrated didn't put them on the cover. After protest by Rockets fans, they eventually released a "special edition" copy (I own one) which was poorly written and sloppily put together. -- droxford
You know what i will actually like it that we are going to be the silent killers...let them hype up all these teams just to fall down even harder....they never gave a chance before we won the championshpis and even after we won one we got no respect...and what did we do..prove them wrong.... Lets not get mad and actually enjoy not having any pressure on us to preform and do all these things..and just go out there have fun and beat the hell out of the competition and make the world take notice then.
my spidey sense thinks you guys are making too much out of nothing the MSNBC thing was one issue (they correct it too) - but complaining that we are NOT on the front page of every sports sight (after a whopping one game winning streak) during the middle of the NCAA tourney is silliness they dis the Rockets so bad they put them on TV all the time and think we will finish higher than we are now (5th place) http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=93331
I dont look at espn.com, but today when I got to work and looked at NBA.com around 7ish they did have us front page so I dont know what you're talking about... the game did happen lastnight and there are new games about to start in a hour and a half so I dont see what the big deal is...
Who cares? And besides, when we get positive national press, we seem to let up and lose winnable games like against the Celtics and TWolves. Press invites attention and puts a huge target on our backs, so I'd rather fly below the radar and keep winning.
No worries guys......just venting. Perhaps I missed the websites coverage as I was busy this morning. Next time I will start a thread complaining about how many shots T-Mac takes or how much I miss Mo Taylor.....
when we able to get into finals in the west, will see what happen. to gain the respect==> WIN is the only way!
Yeah, Willis25! Where in the world are you coming up with all these cheesy spiderman pics? (btw - they're hilarious) -- droxford
