I am really pissed off this year about the ratings. How does Kobe get a 101 overall? That is insane. T-Mac is going to be a 91 overall, which is not the problem for me. The problem for me is that his overall for mid range shooting is only a 78! That is terrible! Even his 3 point shot (80) is better which really is not due to percentages. I remember last years game, he was a 87 on mid range shooting and a 77 on 3 point shooting. I hope 2k9 some how changes these ratings. Discuss! Click website below to see ratings. Just another reason why NBA Live is GOING TO BE BETTER THIS YEAR..... I understand that NK8 was better then Live 08...... but the tides have changed and NBA Live has brought their game to a new element this year...... make the change
i think they are purposely trying to give tmac the same rating that paul pierce had last season.(hes still good in every way, but our team is so good that if he were rated higher people would be cheesing the crap out of the rox) most the time if a player has a higher rated 3pt shot than mid range jumper it bumps up the mid range significantly, since last year tmacs 3s were so low they bumpd up his midrange, he will still be hosing down the D with that wet jumper in 2k9. i am crazy pumpd to get this game!!!!
I could only hope for the ratings change when they make their updates. T-Mac is way too low considering the standards here. He's severely underrated. By the 3ball standards I see they're on point with the 80. I seen somewhere that T-Mac had better percentages on midrange shots than Kobe(someone pull up the hotzones), only that T-Mac wasn't finishing(not getting the foul call) and wasn't efficient on the 3's so his overall % was lower. By these standards he should be a 96.
T-Mac is a better mid-range shooter. They're just blatantly underrating him or overrating others. How is Iverson as good a man defender as T-Mac. Wade and Kobe are rated far stronger than T-Mac.... WTF!!?? I won't even get into the shooting off the dribble rating. T-Mac takes and makes the toughest shots in the league effortlessly.
And here is the Tmac rating I just cannot live with the D+ rebound rating, he is actually a very good rebounder so I would give him at least a C+, and athleticism? I would give him a A-. And how come Rafer's handle is only A-?
ok...i thought the 91 rating for Tracy was fine until i saw that screen shot where both AI and Melo were rated 94's. Oh well, it is a video game. They never get those things right.
I thought it was impossible to have rating over 100. Especially, the rating scale only goes up to 100. I think anyone should quite be at 100, anyway. That means that player is a great 3 point shooter, great rebounder, a great dunker, passer, no injury problems, clutch, plays the best defense, and etc.
Tmac's rating(91) isn't right or AI's rating is way to high(94). CBS Sports and Fox Sports rate Tmac as the third best SG after Kobe and Wade of cousre and have AI somewhere below him. so his rating should be higher than AI's rating in my opinion.
you guys are really getting riled up about this. at the end of the day, if tmac wins, he'll be mentioned along with the greats of the game. people know where his talent lies. it's all about winning. the same can be said for yao and artest, but they haven't been as accomplished as tmac.
