The ratings don't necessarily dictate who is better, just what a player can do. So someone like Shaq in his prime might not be rated as high as Pippen was in his.
Video game ratings. Some players work better in a video game than others. Its not a true reflection of their actual basketball ability in the real world.
What the heck.... I have NBA2K9 and Brooks is ranked 81, Yao like 91-93, Scola 80 something, how the heck is Brooks/Scola not ranked higher than 80 and 78?? They've been better since 2k10 and should be for 2k11. Yao's injuries is understandable.... but Brooks and Scola? I guess 2k11's ratings for everyone in the NBA is low this year
The curve from bad to good to superstar players is larger. Helps superstars feel more like superstars...
