Guys, I know there is already a "official NBA 2k10" thread but my question is this, which game to get? I will be purchasing one of them tommorrow and would like to get an opinion on which do you prefer and why. I was a live player up until Live 05, then I switched to the 2k series because of the realism but it seems that ever since I switched, the 2k series havn't made any significant upgrades where as I hearing about all of the improvements that Live has made. Help me out guys, I don't wanna feel like I have been ripped off by the gaming giants.
What makes nba 2k that more superior than live 2010? I just wanna make sure I'm making the right choice when I'm purchasing one.
just rent Live, I did last year thinking they made strides, and I feel ripped off by paying $7+ renting it at Blockbuster gamerankings.com has the 2 games close as far as score 81.79 for 2K compared to 81.57 for Live 10, some believe its not even close btw, buy both and get a 3rd game free, heh Toys R' Us is having a buy 2 get 1 free sale for all games
Live is better on PC because there is a devoted fanbase that mods it to become a more realistic sim. Good luck finding 2k10 for PS3 or 360 at any Toys R Us. I picked up my copy at the katy mills yesterday, and there was 2 left for PS3(said there was 3 left when I called). Its not available anywhere else according to the inventory checker.
I played the Live 10 demo and actually enjoyed it, but bought 2k10. 2k10 is damn fun. Great everything. The My Player mode is money.
Amazon is having a similar deal but there is limit of a list of games in which 2k and i think Live 10 is part of it along with Halo ODST/GH5/Beatles Rock Band
I have both... I've only played Live 10 once.. so far... 2k10.. which I got a day later after Live.. I've pretty much gone all out with it. 2K10 > Live 10.
sorry for the beyond stupid question...i'm new to nba 2k10...and was wondering how you make trade during the regular season, or release players...i can't figure it out for the life of me...thanks
I am HATING the controls to NBA2k so far, might just be due to the fact it's a port to the PC. (xbox controller).
I've played both extensively enough. I'm a 2K player, and decided to try Live out this year as well. Live is an OK game. It's getting better. 2K is still a much better game. The My Player mode alone puts it above the Live game. Eye-candy wise, I think 2K looks muuuuch better. There are performance issues I've run into with 2K this year though. Word is there will be a patch to help alleviate that. I own both games, and I highly recommend 2K over Live.
