Ive head all kinds of praise about this book because it contains cures on how to get rid of all sorts of bad things forever such as heartburn, herpes (Lima needs to look into this) and diabetes. Arthritis, MS, and some cancer. Has anyone seen the commercial about it and does anyone know if this is real?

He might have performed a little research, so it could potentially have good info in it, but probably nothing more than you could find from reputable herbal/natural/traditional health websites.

One thing I learned from the infomercial was to read 'Fast Food Nation'. Basically after reading that book, I don't want anymore fast food hamburgers ever again.

Is that the one that proves that oral leads to weight loss in women?

Oh no, wait, that was Maxim.

Texas Fudge cures cancer, makes you rock hard, gets you killer abs, and makes hot women swoon and beg you for sex.

    I read it somewhere.

I had to read the book over the summer, my university made all incoming freshman read it. The author came and spoke about it too. Book was pretty boring but had some interesting stuff in it.

Many natural cures are generally supported by anecdotal evidence and not always hard science.

That's not to say they have no credence but only that you should take these claims with a grain of salt.

Many of the suggestions in books such as these (diet, exercise, herbs, etc.) are good ideas as part of a healthy lifestyle.

However, I would not recommend ignoring your doctor's advice.

Here's a good jumping off spot: Skeptic's Dictionary

There are more informative peices of literature available on the internet for nothing.

    Try this site out -
    http://www.doctoryourself.com/index.html

You don't have to buy the book. Most of it is at the site.

A book that refers to the mysterious "They" in the title is always monumental, and often life-changing.
