I would probably have had a heart attack if I lost my winning ticket. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2004-01-06-missing-lottery-ticket_x.htm
Yeah, this is the face of a person I would believe in a case like this. Possesion is 9/10ths of the law. This is just gonna end up in court and the only people that will make any money are the lawyers.
I love when they interviewed one of the random guys searching for the ticket... "If I find it, I'll give her a million dollars, but that's it!"
So, if someone finds the ticket, they could just lie and say that they were the ones that bought it, right? I mean, the dumb woman is claiming that it's stolen property, but there's no way she can prove that the ticket is her property, is there? -- droxford
Nah, I'm no instigator. There are a few posters on this board that will find racism in just about everything. The post PFE made re: the woman was something I know someone will twist. PFE: Yeah, this is the face of a person I would believe in a case like this. D&D fanatic: Don't you mean because she's BLACK!?
If she lost it.......too bad for her. Would I feel bad if I found the ticket inside a lost purse......I dont know. I would be in Hawaii thinking about it though.
You're going to have to explain the term 'race baitor' to me so I can decide if it offends me or not.
Thanks for the explanation. Ok, I'm not offended, because that isn't true. It was merely an observation of the trends of certain posters here at the board.
But by bringing it up, you either a) found something wrong with that post or b) you are just as concerned about race as the posters you are referring to.
back to the subject of the thread: I saw that woman on the news last night, and I thought the same thing about "why would anyone trust her". But if no one ever claims the money, why wouldn't she be the one who bought the ticket. Not that I'm saying she should get the money.
or c) I knew some of the D&D fanatics would find something wrong with the post. pgabriel, believe it or not, sometimes you can take things at face value. I can see where you are coming from though. You didn't see me type that post, as I shook my head with a grin saying to myself 'I wonder how long it will take before racism gets thrown around in this thread.' On a side note, I'm flattered, and quite frankly touched, that you think of me. I'm a tad bit disheartened that you no longer think better of me, though.
