I'm sorry if the title looks more interesting than the post.... BUT...
I can't help but share the joy!

Tonight I get to do something I've not done in years! 2 1/2 years
of anguish and pain in Dallas, TX and Albuquerque, NM didn't let me, and the last 6 months back in Houston didn't let me, but my Dad let me for my birthday!

Let me what? Let me go back to the laptop and see the Rockets play! I'm so excited, even with the poor standings, that I'm going tonight to see the Pistons play like Pis-(tons of it) and the Rockets Rock it!

Sorry I haven't posted much lately, but I might get more time soon!

I will share in your joy, IROC! For I as well have a ticket to tonights game, and will likely be the only game I will see this season as I have to return to my home in Dallas soon. :(

Enjoy it! I know I will!

Thanks to everyone for sharing in the joy!

And thanks to AntiSonic for remembering this old BBS geezer!:)

All in all I had a great time... a little saddened by the overall difference in the mood at Compaq from days gone by, but the 9-22 (pregame) record probably helped dampen things.

We sat over in the end near the "Mo' Betta Bunch" of kids that Mo' Taylor got seats for... they were loud.

My son (now just over two years old) was fascinated by the Clutch and Mini Clutch Bears...

Gamewise I was most impressed by Franchise (I actually finally got to see a whole game that he played! -tear-), and that kid Eddie Griffin - He's got future ALL STAR written all over him! Moochie was fun to watch, Torres had some good team conscience play... it was nice to Willis do some SLAMZILLA (I've still got the old "Whatchoo talkin' 'bout Willis?" wallpaper from back in the day-probably sport it a few days)... basically I thought "if this is only half of the real starting line-up we can really be good!"

The biggest obvious weakness to me was team defense, even though we had like 9 blocks and several steals, the overall trading buckets thing was a bad habit I'd love to see them get the handle on... oh, yeah- sad I didn't see KT play, maybe next time.

Well, those are my first thoughts about our recent Rockets and my first trip to see 'em...
