Jack Hunter (the talk radio host / political commentator formerly known as the Southern Avenger) has struck gold again with this video exposing the political insiders' technique of undermining our liberties by repeatedly invoking the power of the god, "National Security".

I had no idea Jeff Foxworthy was such an outspoken critic of our government.

Here is the rtsy posting technique for those of you who would like to follow along:

    1. Find a story (through conservative blogs) about some branch of government or some individual bureaucrat being a piece of ****.

(note the advantage here: Most people are going to agree that these things are ridiculous/problematic - but then you get some nice Tea Party-style voiceover, or a handful of comments from a conservative blog, that frames the absurd government action in a wider debate about FREE MARKET IS SOLUTION TO EVERYTHIGN!!!!! OMG!!!! EVEN DIARRHEA!!!)

    2. Commentary is provided by some other talking head from the far right - rtsy is only interested in posting the viewpoints of others, and not in responding to any credible criticisms of that viewpoint.

    3. Post video and/or article in thread.

    4. Go search for next video/article posted on conservative blog.

    5. repeat ad infinitum.

Here is what I have gathered of yours:

    1. Threaten people who live in nice homes with violence and destruction. Support those who actually commit such acts.

    2. Be constantly resentful and jealous of others and blame them for your shortcomings.

    3. Get angry at the overreach of the government unless it means stealing from people who have more than you.

    4. Hate Walmart but love the FCC.

    5. Repeat until government takes over everything and everyone has an equal amount of possessions.

So thadeus, do you feel the urge to get on your soap box when liberal (posters) do the same thing? Or since you have liberal views, its ok for them to apply this same technique? There is a word for that .... hypocrisy.

So when you get the diarrhea, you go to a government office instead of getting Pepto or Immodium?

The difference between your list and mine: The one I made is an accurate appraisal of your actual posts. The list you made is not.

Liberal posters don't appear to use the same formulaic approach, and often provide a great deal of their own commentary on articles. They are also willing to debate their viewpoints. Also, I find the OMG FREE MARKETS FIX EVERYTHING viewpoint to be so unrealistic that I feel the need to comment sometimes, even though I know it makes little difference.

But, if failing to respond equally to everything posted in this forum is hypocrisy - doesn't that make all of us hypocrites?

I rarely get diarrhea - I create fantastic poop logs that measure a solid Type 4 on the Bristol Stool Scale.

Are we talking about the same Pepto\Immodium that is regulated by the FDA, a government entity that puts great restrictions on the free market from delivering you your medicine.

What poster - specifically - are you referencing? I ask because you have a tendency to make these kinds of broad nonsensical accusations without the ability to actually back them up.

I was thinking less about posters and more about topics.

I was going to write a long response but Im going to take my own advice; If you have nothing to offer to the topic on hand, then keep quiet. Out of the 14 replies in this thread, 0 have to do with the original topic. And yes, im guilty.

I don't get why the "right wing" posters on this board defended Bush's Patriot Act which actually did take away real liberties but then you see the same people get up in arms when under a dem there's more security in airports and malls and calls it "big brother"

    Some wanna explain that?

This is actually general advice for you, which, given some of your prior posts in these hallowed fora , you would be well served heeding.

    You have been warned.

    By yourself.

Liberals frequently hold Obama more accountable than conservatives. It's what happens when conservatives play the politics of birther conspiracies and socialism/marxism/communism innuendo instead of catering to the real issues facing the nation.
