About a year ago I ran into a guy and had a short chat. He told him about the work he did and tried to get me interested in it. He was a Catastrophic Insurance Claim Adjuster. Then this past week I ran into a carpenter that is going through and getting certified now to do this line or work. We talked for a couple hours on Friday and Saturday about what all he has done so far. Has anyone else done this kind of work or know anything about it?
"Cat duty" pays well, as long as you don't mind being away from home/family for weeks/months at a time. I did cat duty during Allison, but I got to stay home (Houston). I made about $27,000 in 3 months, but I was working 18 hour days and had no life outside of work.
Did you just do that work for 3 months? What company was you working through if you dont mind me asking. The first guy I talked to was with a company called Pilot Catastrophe. The second guy is in contact with a company called NADO. I've also heard about a compnay called Worley Catastrophe out of Metairie, Louisiana thats suppose to be a good company to work for.
